Default What car would you buy?

At last, my black gen2 has finally faced her demise. I was rear ended at an intersection and she was totalled. In my opinion, the MS3 is one of those cars with great value, practicality, reliabiity, and overall performance. The car made me happy for the price. Now I have the opportunity to buy a different car. So far, i've only considered an STI, another MS3, or a 335i.

With the same great attributes in mind, what other alternatives would you guys suggest? I'm looking at a 25k ish budget. Help me explore my options here. THanks!

Impractical? A C5 Z06. Daily driver - duh, another MS3. That's what this car is about.

Absolutely nothing has entered the marketplace to change my mind that the MS3 is the best performance and practicality package since 2007.

Pre owned certified mustang 5.0 a option? I really do miss mine.. The power and the quality was really great.. We have one at our dealer.. 13 model decked out with brembo brakes and recaro seats and leather for 28k and only has 1700 miles.. You can find them cheaper then that but if it wasn't in your mind then the BMW..think ill go back to a mustang next year

I've seen some nice ones for around 28-30.

Go to jordanford.com I've been working there over 10 years.. We just got it in and don't know if its online yet.. There gonna ask 30k for it but I can get it for 28,800 so I know they have room for a deal.. Window sticker was 40k and its a bank repo.. I was thinkng about buying it but they will only give me 22k on my speed and it's only 3 months old and I owe 26k plus I put 3k down and I would basically lose 7k on that deal.. I'm gonna wait a year and then buy another mustang... You can't beat the power for the money.. I was running 12.6 with just headers and exhuast.. No tune or intake with shit stock tires.. Fully bolted with good tires and its a 11s daily driver and if you drive it decent you can squeeze 21-23mpg hwy but city with a heavy foot is pushing 14-16mpg

It's charcoal gray.. It's really sweet.. I'm looking for a white or grabber blue but the green has been growing on me..

Up vote for the 5.0. If I totaled I would buy that or another speed.

I'm not just pushing mustang cause I'm a ford tech but it was a amazing car for the money and the only reason why I traded for the speed was I broke up with my long time girlfriend amd moved out into my own place so i wanted to free up my payment and went for the speed.. The speed is nice but having over 400hp is nicer.. I've already been talking to sales at work in getting me back into one but I'm taking a butt raping with my speed trading it in.. I've only had the speed 3 months and taking a beating.. Get a mustang and you will never regret it and you can smoke almost every bolted new ss on the road and just laugh at them

Grand cherokee srt8

I wouldn't spend 25k on one though.

But I've seen a lot of the first generations with really low miles for around 33-35

Why not just give your speed 400hp?
OP, get a caliber srt4 and run 10's long before superskaterexes.

Get a ms6. My speed got totalled, paid off remainder of loan and bought speed 6. Now I like this car better and I don't have a car payment.

I did get to pull some of the mods (DP, TP, TMIC, SRI, HPFP) but I was not able to get my 6puck clutch. I am going to see about the other party's insurance covering it though. And I had no idea there is a new ms6

I don't know why no one has said the FR-S or BR-Z. Ya stock they are not that great, but they look nice, and the potential is mind blowing. 5k on top of a 20k used, practically new car, gets you a 450 hp, nice looking drift machine. Running 12's with no issues. I've been looking into it, and its pretty crazy what those engines are holding. Half the weight of a mustang too. That's the route I'm taking when i get rid of my MS3.

Not many facts in that post....

IMO, 335 or 5.0 if you want a RWD car, Evo/STI for AWD and its pointless to go FWD.

IMO, 335 or 5.0 if you want a RWD car, Evo/STI for AWD and its pointless to go FWD.
Just do a little research. Fullblown have a 600 hp FR-s stock block and internals. Fa20club.com have a 5k turbo kit which includes a tune that will get you to 400+ hp, on a 2700lb car with some sticky tires, you will see some really nice numbers. Used they are around 22k, 23k. That's with out negotiating. Look up youtube videos, the cars are really underestimated. Just my opinion. Personally i like the look of them, slick and aggressive. But its a project, like the MS3's and 6's but with more potential. If you want a turn key high hp car for almost the same as a built FR-S, the 08 Shelby's are nice and nicely priced.

Unless the 335 has warranty, I would not even think about it.

I've done the research, 2700lbs is not half of what a mustang weighs. For $20k you wont get much and its really a step down to go with the scion. You wont even need the sticky tires, just some of a decent width because all of the toyoburus I've seen have been at most in the 270-290ft.lb torque range. Thats not really that great for a car thats making 400+hp. To add to that, peak torque is at over 4500rpm with horsepower being in the 6's. Keep them reved out and you can have some fun but get off boost and you'll wait for days.

Fuck an STI. No way I would take one of those over an Evo 9 or 8.

On my list would be:
Evo
5.0
03/04 Cobra
C5 Z06

No particular order. I'd just look for one that was really clean and low mileage.

I would go with the 5.0 personally. Its most likely the most agreed with upgrade from the ms3 on this forum besides an evo
