and if you're really interested, here's a comparison between the only two systems with firmware updates and known to be highly effective in the wild.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBJGujOI21c

Basic dual head kit is $550, the optional mounts are not needed for the Pu, as we have outstanding mounting locations for the front. (not so much for the rear)

There's Cliff at laser interceptor USA, and the compact 905 is sold in our vendor section. They haven't updated their firmware in over a year to my knowledge, which is why I went with the LI. Laser Ally units will punch through on those 905's, although very few jurisdictions have them. 8.9 LI latest revision will jam to gun anything but the Dragoneye ECCM, which you'll only find in Georgia for now. The next LI update will probably stump that as well.

Why? My last two tickets were laser, and the most recent was $370.

That was the cost of my last excessive ticket.. not including $300 in points and $900 over 3 years in "driver risk premiums". Wooo $1570 for one ticket.

Bright side is had that been 6 months later, that would've been my car impounded for a month, license yanked for 6 months and some obscene amount in $$$. Buut thats what you get for doing 102 in a 50 zone....

Thanks for the unquoted info on LI's.

The UR has an awesome sound shouldn't take you to long to install. Pretty straight forward. Why not full TBE though?

Budget and I don't want loud, I just want a more richer deeper sound. For now, leaving in resonators and I'll go from there and see how I like it.

Added about a month extra to the wait(if I don't put it on plastic that is - trying to avoid that cause I don't want to rack up any more cc debt)

Nada - AP/Internals WERE going to be my first mods, but for the price I got this, I couldn't pass it up

Disconnected my SWAS. I feel a huge difference. I've only had the power steering quit on me once. Worth the lights on the dash.

Installed a full set of real solid shifter base bushings instead of my "NATORed" ones (washers and the sleeves from the old rubber bushings). I hate to say it, but this has to be the most worthless modification ever. I can't feel a difference between this and what it used to feel like with the rubber bushings under the cage.

Maybe it's almost imperceptibly more direct, but it's such a minute difference that I'm not convinced it was worth the $25.00 I spent.

Really?? I thought the bushings were so much better than the rubber ones... Grabbing the gear felt like butter instead of bouncing around trying to get it exp during spirited driving. I had all motor mounts changed before installing mine too.

Yes, really. It's possible that my old setup had the same effect, but I really cannot feel much of a difference (if any at all) in shift quality, firmness, precision, notchiness or anything else. So yes, I do feel that it was a waste of money. I also don't really believe that we need to spend more than a few bucks in appropriately-sized washers to achieve the same kind of effect.

Got my JBR RMM installed and changed the oil to some fresh T6. Was going to rotate the tires and install my UR Test Pipe but ran out of daylight. Hopefully will get those done tomorrow or Wed.

Installed RSB and rear camber arms. Found me some cheap OEM rear LED tails and slapped them on as well. Can someone explain the purpose for the lock button on the right tail light attached to the hatch? I left the old one on because they are the same except for that button. uploadfromtaptalk1390364498724.jpguploadfromtaptalk1390364514002.jpg

It's for tech package, to lock the car when you walk away without having to pull the key fob out of your pocket.

Which is 100% useless since it only locks the doors(can't be used to request unlock) and even more so if you have the autolock door funciton turned on via personalization options(basically just walking away from the car locks all the doors if you have the fob in your pocket).

FYI for you tech package owners - Auto lock =

Made first small engine upgrade last night. COBB SRI
notice the increased torque and what seems like a quicker spool from freed intake restriction.
has a nice sound. Not bad for $115

Installed the whole jbr short shift kit a few days ago and I agree about the bushings. I was expecting a lot more from that.

Well if you dont have the autolock feature its good since everyday i pull my stuff out of my hatch and go to work I never have to take my keys out of my uniform. pocket. It doesnt need to unlock due to the proximity sensing so that would be useless.

I tried to get the auto lock done when I bought the car along with other personalization stuff and the salemen did what he could figure out, which was a few.But the auto lock was one he couldnt figure out and since the dealership didn't run their shop they would have charged for that. So I said fuck it, I still miss not having it.

Try sending an email to Mazda about it. That's how I got mine done. Dealer wanted to charge $60-$80 for all the personalization options to be adjusted. Sent a polite email to Mazda stating that I felt since the original owner never took advantage of the changes, it should still be available as the 1 free change. Also stated that it was a bit messed up that these option required me to take it to the dealer to update/change on our car where other models it could be changed by the owner. Result was Mazda picked up the tab for it to be done and I couldn't be happier.

Had the following items changed
Auto Headlight on/off from 2000-4000 lx and updated to 1000-2000lx(this makes it so it needs to be darker outside before the auto lights will kick on)

Illumination entry
When all doors are closed time from 15 seconds to 7.5 seconds
When ignition switched off set lights to automatically turn on - deactivated
Unlock door illumination time 30 seconds to 15 seconds
Smart Turn -ON <---- my favorite and gets me to use my signal A LOT more
Autolock with the key fob(tech package) changed from off to On
Keyless entry/door button -changed from having to press double to unlock all doors to 1 push unlocks all doors(very handy if you have family) -- this one is actually 2 seperate updates because you can set door switch to 1 press and leave key fob as 2 or vice versa. I changed them both to match.

It is too freaking cold to do anything to the car today. Though I did change my cabin air filter the other day. It's was a bit disgusting, the crap that poured out of there when I opened it up.

Got my cracked windshield replaced. Can't go over the speed limit for 48 hours

Also finally installed the DDM mains and fogs I got for Christmas, don't know why people pull the bumper for either.

Never actually considered sending an email to Mazda about it, I'll have my wife piece some email together (she's better with those things than I).
