Haha nice! Can't really go wrong with em... I have a feeling you will be pleased with the results once you get them installed. Like I mentioned before, my mudflaps used to scrape like crazy up that hill and now even when I take the turn up it pretty quick, they barely touch. Plus the bags definitely help the front wheels hold the road better, I still get a little surprised when I step on it in first/second and the tires don't immediately blow off.

Cheap enough to experiment with, all I want is to not have to man handle my fenders with a bat any more lol. Not to mention they're chewing up my tires in the back even when rolled (not fully)

So thanks for posting that up!

If I get them to sit between my H&R springs then 100% I will be. Actually doing the install as I write this.

Got that airlift 1000 installed. I put one of them inside the spring the wrong way...so it was actually a royal PITFA to get it out.

BUT damn! I had people in the car, then just myself, and drove over my usual tire rubbing spots, and NOTHING. No fucking fender rub finally! My only complaint is they sound a little creaky, but they're at like 13 PSI. Gonna inflate them a little more today and see if the creaky noise goes away.

Good buy! Just hope I never have to take them out because I can't feel my fingers.

Basically all that's needed is your hands, a good box cutter knife to cut the hose to length, some pliers, something the dull to push the bags into the spring, I used the rubber handles on some bigger pliers I have, and that's about it.

You just deflate the bags with your hands and muscle them through the springs, nipple pointing down, this takes the longest because these bags are fucking tough little bastards. I'm sure it's easier on stock springs, but I'm on H&R lowering springs so space is tighter.

Once the bags are inside, you let them re-inflate back to their normal shape (there's a little rubber cap to put on the nipples to keep them from inflating when you deflate them). Then you just route your hose to where you want the schrader valve to sit. The kit comes with two valves and a T. So you can either have the option to inflate each bag individually which is what I did. Or you can use the T-fitting to connect both bags to inflate from a central point simultaneously.

I just ran the hose through the rear subframe near the end links and zip tied them there. Nowhere for the hose to be pinched, and plenty of wiggle room for suspension movement. Access to inflate the bags isn't horrible either, but I do have to get on my stomach to get down there with the compressor. There are better mounting options but I didn't want to drill holes anywhere. Bags take like 5 seconds to inflate to full 35psi so that's something to be careful of as well. So I recommend to inflate to 35 and just deflate until desired pressure which for me is like 13psi. I'm going to inflate them a little more today to try and eliminate that creaky sound they make when they rub on the springs.

That's about it, the install mostly consists of you wrestling the bags inside the springs honestly. Also I forgot to mention to lift both rear wheels off the ground when you do this.

I spent about 16 hours installing the $100 Katzkins tan leather set (minus the door inserts). This has been my first crack at interior work of any sort, so it was trial and error. The figment of the kit is very good, the quality of the leather is nice. I am waiting to get some dynomat before ripping apart the doors to get to the ugly red inserts.

I purchased a set of 16 gauge tin snips, which were perfect for cutting the OEM hog rings. I also threw in some seat warmers, and ran the wiring to the bottom seat harness disconnect, but have yet to finish that either. My hands are KILLING me.

It's hot as balls this weekend in PA, but my first drive with the new interior was a pleseant suprise, definitely much cooler than with the black seats when entering the car initially.

Installed Koni sports along with Ford front mounts and bearings. Huge improvement over the stockers at 38K.

I purchased the Konis on sale not too long ago for $600 shipped, and the Ford mounts/bearings for $45 from Tasca Parts. The ride much better than stock. I suspect I had a blown shock or two as it was very 'floaty'. The car feels much more planted now.

A lot of the reviews said the Konis are stiff so I went with 75-80% stiffness for the rear, and I wish I would have gone stiffer. They are much softer than both the Vogtland and Bilstein shocks Ive ran on my Audi. (to adjust the rears you have to remove the strut..)

I guess my choice is between those or the oranges then. I really don't track, just need something to replace the shit stock ones.

Nice man! Glad you got them installed, squeezing them through the stock springs was a bitch so I can only imagine fighting with those H&R's haha... Glad to hear it solved your rubbing issue too.

I rode around with mine at 15psi at first then bumped it all the way up to 30 and have been riding with them at 30psi ever since. You can definitely feel a little more harshness in the way the rear reacts over bumps and stuff, but its nothing unmanageable and the extra traction and handling feel definitely outweighs any negatives from the added harshness.

The ST.Rs are considered a stock replacement, where as the Sports are an "upgrade". If your budget allows and/or if you are installing different springs, go with the sports.

Recorded the second set of logs for Justin at Freektunes, installed a used corksport mid chassis brace, and changed my oil. Busy day. Worked 10 hours, made dinner for the bed resting pregnant wife with twins... While on my mod addiction.

Went autocrossing today with 34 PSI all four corners. Took a corner harder than I should of on my second run, heard a "pop" sound but the car kept tracking straight. Made it to the end of the course and then noticed that half of my front driver side tire debeaded I missed the next 3 runs of the morning as I was waiting at a tire shop to get the tire reseated.

I have the koni orange in the front and sports in the rear (because the orange isnt avail for the rears, at least for gen ones) and i say "dont do it" if your running H&R springs like i am...
At least for me, i feel they have no rebound, and they allow my springs to bottom out and make a big bang on the compression stroke just going over dips in the highway (forget about it you go over a pothole.. smh)

IMO.... spend the few extra dollars and go sports all around or like i feel i should've done.. get some BC coils and call it a day for $250 more.

Well, I know for a fact I won't be running lowering springs, at least not any time soon. I have been looking at the sports but I'm on a tighter budget right now. I know either will probably be better than the stock shocks my car has had for 101K miles. And if I ever did do springs they will probably be corksports. Did you ever run oranges all around? Or did you ever run that setup without springs?

Lots of tender love and care after a 8 month deployment. Changed the oil, washed her and restored the headlights. Purchased tubular exhaust manifold for the undecided BT. Guardian angel v3, DM TMM, OPT7 H11 LED light kit and more DO methanol.

Ah yes. I'm a GenPu so I won't have that roadblock. So what you're saying is buy the sports if I can. Would you go hybrid setup again or all orange or all yellow?

Neuspeed fmic, CTS intake, eBay DP, and HPFP internals. Still stock VW K04 though. Pushing close to 300hp. Got a couple logs that show 300hp in vdyno, but need to get it on the real dyno to see where it's at. Tuned by me with Eurodyne Maestro.
