Oh, I finished sealing the tc today and put her back up. I also replaced my d/s sway bar link (never seen a 6 link fail before). Monday evening I'll cut the front rotors and possibly the rear axle seal if I feel up to it.

I picked up the downpipe I ordered this morning and did my first oil change with the car. Will wash it later tonight.

Last Sunday I got in my car, started it and got nothing. Dashboard lights came on and the car would barely crank. Checked battery voltage on the AP and it was 7.9-8.1. I did notice that the car seemed to start slower after I flashed my e85 map. I thought it was related to that and neglected to check the battery voltage.

Anyways, last night I was finally able to buy a new battery; I decided on the Optima Yellowtop. Pricey and heavy, but it's got great reviews so I gave it a try. Had a little noob moment with the installation since this battery is shorter vertically than the oem battery. (I put it in the battery box and tried to install the tie-down bracket, I quickly realized that won't work LOL.) It does come with a 2 piece height adapter. You only need to use 1 piece of the adapter since using both will not allow the adapter to sit inside the battery box properly. I suggest putting in the adapter into the battery box first, then you can drop the battery on it. After I got that sorted out, finished up the install and car started up fine. At idle, AP reports battery voltage values at 12.6-14.0. During my commute this morning, battery voltage while cruising was a little over 13.

Just another success story and one of those "glad I have my AP" moments yeah? Good to stuff to hear. Glad everything worked out!

Definitely. One of the best things about the AP v3 is the real-time monitoring. That said, if the Ultra-gauge was able to monitor knock retard and AFR, I would use that instead.

Good luck. I'll never buy another Optima battery. Their lifespan is utterly shit, they're overpriced, and the warranty isn't that good either. I've had far less trouble with good old-fashioned lead-acid batteries.

I'll replace it in 3 years after the warranty runs out. I hope that it would last at least 3 years, since that is how long the OEM battery lasted.

Just installed SSP and bushings, shift feel feel is great but throws may be a little too short for my taste. Probably gonna take care of that tomorrow. Finally greased my battery terminals as well, with the positive having a lot of corrosion as expected.

Hey, better safe than sorry. Still keep an eye on your HPFP pressure. I saw pressure drop, albeit only a few cells per log and only down to 15XXpsi, when running the Cobb OTS Stage 1 tune with a stock pump and only SRI/TIP. Wasn't worth any risks, as minor as they may be, so I flashed back to the Stage 0 tune to be safe and got those internals in.

...meow.

You've just confirmed my doubts. I'm keeping it on safe map. Canadian Winter fast approaches so I'll live with it until spring when I can do my hpfp, ti, and dp. I've already got CAI, fmic, ap, and rmm, so she'll be moving quite a bit better when that's been done.

So as some know I picked up a speed 6 had her on the road yesterday and didn't like her alignment, put her in the air and found out whoever had the rack out at some point did a half ass job (one inner tie rod had 6 threads the other side had 13) so of course I did a 4wa and cursed and sweared the entire time. Have burns to prove it

Installed corksport stubby antenna. Would like to wrap my roof now and everyone in Virginia beach charges and arm and a leg.

Avoid Hawk if you're looking for something to close to OEM feel. I think mine were the Blue (HP?) and felt like shite in all conditions. Consistent spongy feel and damn right scary in colder temps.

I'm a fan of the Stoptech street perf. pads.

I had an unfortunate run in with a shoplifter from a BC liquor store.

Literally.

Fucker ran into the side of my car while looking back at the staff chasing and running between the rows of parked cars. Since this was in Richmond BC, I drive ridiculously slow in Richmond parking lots (bad yet hilarious drivers everywhere) so I didnt even see him to until he bounced off the side of my passenger front door. First was an obvious wtf but for some reason I instinctually shut the car down, e brake it and spring out, give chase as he running away from my car with a bit of a hobble. 4-5 strides later I grab his left arm from behind then reach around his neck with the right and bring him down in a perfect takedown to full control of his neck and head. Staff were impressed and I was surprised.

But I didnt lock it up or complete the choke as there was 3 staff and a security guard and I'm not one to just beat the fuck out of someone - that requires good reason other than bouncing off my car and I try to avoid all legal shit at all costs. But they let him walk after I disengage as I'm like wtf...

Sadly, I didnt realize he dented my car since I thought he hit the fender which is already damaged then pushed himself off my door. Since the store staff called the police, it's technically a hit and run but it (should) work out in my favor with a copy of the police report. Just a $300 deductible.

Worse part: the bottle of Hennessey he stole broke as I wrapped up his neck. The good part: he's a cheap dumbass thief and only lifted a VSOP and not the XO.

Look at that biatch.

Tell us how that goes. Been meaning to get one but their quality seems inconsistent to say the least. Only thing I like about them is that they offer a short option with the cat unlike most other companies.

On another note, CP-E stage 2 mount went in. Initial vibes will take some getting used to. Definitely increase over my worn out E-Focus mount but they will obviously die out with time. Im so glad to not have any more creaks or rattles when letting the clutch out. There is also very little bucking when getting off the gas in 1st or 2nd. Makes my car feel quicker and more alive combined with the SSP and bushings. Im impressed with the performance aspects of the mount, the jury is still out on the comfort side though.

Will do, I think ATP is okay as far as parts, but it came with extra studs, copper nuts, gaskets, so I figured why not. Doesn't seem like the other brands come with that for that price.

Installed the downpipe today, it went surprisingly well except...the flanges between the downpipe and my UR catback...are leaking exhaust massively. Anyone know how I'd go about sealing up a flared flange to a flat flange. Basically looks like <|| My catback being the '<' and the downpipe being '||'. I cranked down the two together, but the gasket is not sealing up well enough and it's leaking a lot.

Any Ideas?

Purchased a used Corksport tmic, went to install it... holes where the intercooler connects to the cold pipe were stripped with what looked like helicoils inside them. So i went to tighten them down, one just spun and wouldn't tighten fully. Installed it all anyway, didn't look like the cold pipe was flush with the intercooler. Hits 7lbs of boost, a horrible squealing sound ahah Needless to say, i took it off and will be taping the holes and purchasing new hardware! Lets hope this fixes my issue lol

Wasted too much money on the ProClip A-pillar mount for the AP. No more finding the AP laying on the floor for me! It's working well so far.

$65, shipped. I actually ordered it from Cobb, which I didn't want to do because of their assholery concerning ATR, but it was the best deal. I tried to order from the manufacturer but they routed me to the US distributor(ProClip) and ordering the two pieces separately from them totaled up to the same, plus shipping.

I put a little hole in the cubby next to the OBDII port so I could run the AP cable inside the dash. Ran it past the fuse box, out the back of the fuse panel door and under the weather stripping, behind the A-pillar panel and out behind the mount with just enough slack to plug into the AP.

It's worked great so far, no issues. I know some complaints with the mount were that the swivel joint would droop, but it hasn't been a problem.

I know, probably TMI, but if you have any questions, just lemme know.

Yeah, it's honestly more than anyone should spend, but I'm a fool, haha.

I did the same thing with my radar detector and got a hardwire/rearview mirror mount, so I have nothing dangling or stuck to the windshield anywhere. Even my EZpass sits in the cupholder with the velcro strips, ready to go, but noooo, I'm an idiot. Keeps the inside of the windshield easy to clean, I guess.

Ouch! @g00s3y; we are going to need more details than one picture! How did that happen?

Found the source of my drivetrain movement (with a CPE RMM) - the tranny bracket bushing is torn.

Also installed a Progress Technology RSB on the stiff setting. The difference is astounding, its a solid mod.

Washed the car too.

Changed my rotors and pads to centric premium rotor blanks and hawk hps brake pads. Now pedal feels really soft and doesn't seem to brake nearly as well. Is that normal? I did burnish them like suggested.
