Still in the process of installing the CS injector seals. Those T-40 torx screws are a bitch to get off. I'll be tackling that tonight. I also took a peek at my valves last night and instantly became a believer in opting for an EGR delete kit and OCC, so I just ordered a EGR delete kit and Stage 1 OCC with VTA from @Matt@DamondMotorsports. Was super helpful, thank you!
Now to continue learning about how to clean the valves. Looks like I'm gonna need some B12, a gun and some walnut media.
Anyone know the difference between these two:

I did the same recently... Picked up a used Homelink auto-dim mirror off ebay and wire harness from ebay all for less than $100.
The wire harness will come with instructions. Basically It will require you to tuck the wires into the head liner and run it down the A pillar and tap 2 wires + Ground.

What's the benefits to having this over the standard mirror really though?

You would want to try to get most off that off using picks, brushes, or walnut blasting first. Introducing chemicals early will just turn it into a gummy mess that may make it harder to clean.

Just the auto dimming and compass. You could use the home link to replace garage door opener. I like mine because the OEM mirror would go out of adjustment pretty frequently from the vibes. The new mirror is much tighter.

Got it off ebay and bought the harness on Amazon. Very simple to install. Wiring harness had the Mazda instructions so told me where to tap.

Finished whole parts remod today with JBR stg2 OCC, BNR4 HTP 3.5" intake, JBR small battery box, 3 bar map sensor, Grimmspeed EBCS, JBR EGR delete and block off yesterday.

Intake/turbo sounds like a turbo diesel truck now when spooling lol

Installed the CNT Catback. Happy with the sound, it's pretty tame overall, even paired with a test pipe. Fitment was decent.

Replaced both clutch master and slave cylinders over the weekend. Not looking forward to having to do a master again, pain in the ass to get out.

Now there's a leak on the new slave cylinder at the hose - hoping I just seated it wrong in the dark cause its getting too damn cold to mess with on my parking garage roof.

Well.... I failed inspection for bad tires, unauthorized headlights (wrong) and no lug nut key. First Fuck.
Called them crazy saying my lug key was in the glove box. Drive to used tire place, get 2 front Michelin pilot sport a/s3 mounted and balanced for 120. Sweet. Open glove box, no key. Second Fuck.
Drive home and find spare lug key from old mazda. Drive to shop, wrong lug key. Third Fuck.
Luckily I had 3 spare lugs in my box. Lug stripped removes lockers and puts new tires on. Sweet. Drive to inspection station. "Wheres the lug key" "Idk just strip it the spare is in the glove box". Failed inspection AGAIN for minor exhaust leak that passed last year. Fourth fuck.
All the while I've got my one and two yr old with me... 😖🔫

TL;DR spent 4 hrs trying to get my car inspected and its still not done...

That sucks. I'm so glad Florida doesn't do vehicle inspections. When I lived in New Jersey, I hated getting my cars inspected. They would always fail. Bureaucratic sons of bitches

A deer decided to run full bore into the side of my car this morning while on the way to work. It's hard to see in the picture, but it fucked up the passenger side pretty good. Same shit happened to me just over a two years ago in the wife's pilot. Also installed GFB bpv over the weekend, running it full recirc for now since I'm tuning with Freektune right now.

Default What did you do to your ride today?

Installed a HKS BOV, in recurc of course. Will clean up everything on Saturday. Anyone on here mounted it in this direction? Seems like the nipple sits close to the hood when it's closed, but because of the intake and the hose to the TIP I couldn't figure any other way of mounting it.

Round 2. 3" JBR intake, bigger TMIC, Started the E85 tune journey. So went from mild bolt ons to bigger bolt ons and E85 tune with bigger IC, all at once. Yeah, it kicks ass. Should hold me over until BT in the spring.

After replacing master and slave cylinders and still not able to engage gears I'm now leaning to a bad pressure plate perhaps. Never had a burning clutch smell...ok maybe one or twice in 5 years, so I don't think its the actual clutch. That being said replacing clutch assembly this weekend and cleaning intake valves. Good times.

Beginning my FMIC project. I was going to wait a little bit to do this project, but I was able to pick up a Treadstone TR8 FMIC off Craigslist the other day, so now I'm gonna do this project. I still need piping and a mount, but I figured I can prep the Intercooler. I think I'm going to go with the CX Racing piping kit and my buddy is going to fabricate me a crash bar/mount. So we'll see how it goes.

Changed my spark plugs and got my racecar back. It was misfiring and I couldn't believe it was the plugs, but.... runs like a clock now

Holy hell what a journey these last few weeks have been! I finally finished installing the Corksport high-pressure fuel line and injector seals, the Damond Motorsports EGR delete kit and Stage 1 OCC with VTA, and media blasted/B-12'd my valves! After cleaning my valves I would close my eyes and see walnut media everywhere. Just started her up for the first time in weeks today and she started right up after a couple tries (THANK GOD!).
All that's left to do is drill out a small hole in the underside splash guard for the OCC release valve/tubing and but the front bumper back on. ...And of course see if Justin has some time in his busy schedule to clear the codes from the EGR delete.

Lastly, and this was the entire reason I started this journey was to diagnose a fuel smell coming from the engine bay during cold starts. I could also smell it a bit in the cabin. Some of you may recall my post several weeks back (What did you do to your ride today?) that sparked this whole thing. Guess what: the fuel smell is still there! Oddly, I can smell it from around the area circled in red from the attached image of the entire engine bay. I don't see any visible signs of leaking though. It's driving me nuts! I tried searching other "fuel smell" threads on here, but I couldn't come up with anything related, or that I haven't already addressed. Maybe purge control valve?

Oh, also, I lost quite a bit of coolant in the process. Should I flush the entire system or can I just top off?

Adding a bunch of pics from the entire process. Main reason it took so long was a.) first time attempting any of this and b.) really just ordering, buying, and waiting for everything to arrive. Fortunately, I work remotely.

@PapaBruno; when I did my EGR delete and turbo swap I just topped off my coolant, I guess it makes that sort of a feed and bleed. However, as suggested here on the forum, make sure you use the Mazda FL-22 coolant (add no water). I got a jug of it off of Amazon last year. I have had random smells of fuel in the past as well and could never figure out where it was coming from as well.

Thanks. I lucked out. I found FL-22 on Amazon with same day shipping* (...*on orders of $35 or more). Wound up buying a veggie steamer, which had a coupon and I had a $5 credit for taking some online survey a while back. That brought my order total to $35.01! Just squeaked by.

Now I don't know if it's just cold starts and the weather, or what, but I also I also read some stuff about a charcoal filter getting flooded. I don't drive often, so maybe some of the fuel sitting in the car is affecting the lines, filter, corroding something, cracked lines, loose connection...it's gotta' be something. And it's really gonna bug the crap out of me though until I get a definitive answer.

I just used Prestone concentrated Coolant and added water. Never had an issue.
