Thank you. Honestly, if you're local I probably would. It helps that I only drive her once or twice a week. But even when she was being driven daily I was a stickler about keeping the engine bay clean.
A before shot with the old, stock battery box. Man, I'm so happy that thing is gone - was such a PitA taking the box in/out.
I've gotta start looking around for someone to powder coat my valve cover. It's currently rattle-canned using Duplicolor hi-temp paint. Stuff flakes off so damn easily.

Went for a nice long drive in the new to me E36 M3 and realized I need an AC recharge. Beautiful weather in BC so I went for a backroad cruise in my MS3 instead. Remember my clinking/clicking noise? Well went for a nice pull and click click BANG. Hopefully the dealer it's sitting at now can overnight a drivers side axle in for tomorrow morning. Saturday is track day

M3 won't survive track day as it doesn't have an oil pan baffle. Don't want to kill the newly rebuilt S52. Might just take the hit or bs an excuse to get a refund on my track fees.

Finally got her roadworthy again! Picked up a set of MR BBSs locally with some used rubber. The owner before him plastidipped em gold, but honestly, I like it. Unless you get up close to em, then you see all the flakes... Anyways pics or it didn't happen:

Looking good Platinum ! Hopefully I'll have my Rotas mounted by the end of the weekend.

Did they fit perfect? Had to pick up a set of hub spacers for mine to correctly set on the hub

Do you mean clearances? It's super tight, but there's room there. Even lock-to-lock.

Had a weird vibration at 70mph, but nowhere else, so I took it to a shop and they suggested balancing. They said the wheels were quite out. Probably used impact wrenches to tighten the lug nuts, so I'm about to go loosen and retorque everything myself.

Not for clearance, but to make sure the bore of the wheel is the same size as the hub on the car. I had to get small spacer rings in order to seat them perfectly. Was an annoying unforeseen cost.

Uh no. Didn't check that one. But research suggested the bore was the same on the Evo X MR BBS.

I put Matt Damon short shift plate on yesterday, love it. Today I took the stock weight off, hate it. Need to find that happy medium of precision notchiness from the weight, but smooth transitioning without it. Might just try to cut the stock one!

Installed the hoodscoop. For those that have one, do you notice small variations between the body lines. Nothing major, I'm just the type where it annoys me when exhausts aren't symmetrical

Does it feel different looking out over the hood of the car from your drivers seat? I would imagine the hood scoop is highly visible and adds a different look from the inside of the car as well ?

You can barely see the hood scoop from the inside. Now you just see the just the top of the scoop from driving.

Nothing major. I have found that I'm driving by buildings with glass on them on purpose today.

LOL, not epoxy.

It's attached using bolts so it's very secure. It's made out of aluminum and powercoated white.

I got a pretty good deal on it.

JBR doesn't have a Corksport-sized one, only stock sized.

If you're looking for one, it should be coming out soon. It's actually better designed than that one.

Check out the post I made a year or two back about adding mesh in the scoop. Used epoxy in mine and it's solid as a rock.

I saw, but this way easier to install and you can have almost any color. And easily able to remove it as well.

Curbed my wheel today. Thank god they're a satin black, so I'll be sanding, taping around the area, and spray painting the curbed part. Almost like I've done this before..

I've tripped a few p300 codes when I idle at startup for too long. Confirmed it today by taking my time before driving away for work. Her old dirty insides are showing it seems.

Rotated tires AGAIN, but all pulling and vibrating are gone this time. Finally back to normal clunking from the back end. Shocks are leaking, so hopefully have some new ones coming from the dealership next week (still under warranty).

You should read my (lengthy) thread on my issues lol. Tldr version is new/used tires/wheels need balancing and alignment. And even then, you may not be done. I still don't know what was causing the pulling, but it's gone, tires are all inflated, and no further issues. So I'm, currently, happy.

Read up and get an idea of a diagnosis, but your shop will tell you what's really going on. Provided you trust them. Shaking could be any number of things.

Well I'm running tires that area near the end of their life, running taller tires in the front than rear, running a different pair front and rear, didn't align after putting tires on last time.

Going to read your thread, hope that throwing a set of tires on/balancing/alignment fixes my issues

Installed a Damond Motorsports SSP. Wow, quite impressed with the difference in shifting feel. I had a very unsatisfying feeling shifter for whatever reason, even after trying the ford stuff. However, after installing this shift plate my shifting feels considerably smoother! Very happy with this purchase, even if it cost me 110$..
