Did the PMM/ insta regret mod. Now full racecar mode. No one ever mentions the vibrating steering wheel and the fact that at idle the keys jingle while hanging in the ignition.... On the upside i am hitting all my shifts and it feels great so we shall see.

Washed and waxed the Speed3 and put her in the garage.
Then went to pick this DAILY up from a friend. Only has 42000 miles on it and its a 2003 Focus SVT. Really good Condition. Got it for 3k. Military people are always getting rid of stuff for a steal.

Washed it when I got it home

It's definitely the balance shaft causing the vibes #vibelife

Drained the catch can and changed the oil.

I switched to Rotella from Castrol about 2 oil changes ago and noticed a significant reduction in the amount of crap drained out of the catch can.

This go around, I used Penzoil Platinum 0W40 and will experiment with it for a couple of oil changes to see if it makes any difference.

I read several of the posts on the forum and then read the articles online discussing and comparing the different properties of the oils. I'm interested in seeing/feeling what works best for my configuration/driving style.

Disclaimer: This diatribe not intended to create another oil discussion.

Ordered Corksports IM. Also talked to the dealership about the injector/valve cleaning being done as one job and then possibly the head gasket as well. The built block and turbo goodness is still a ways away so I have to keep her going.

I inquired about this at my local dealership. They don’t take the IM off and clean the valves manually. “They hook it up to a machine.” and it doesn’t produce the same results. Hope your dealership is different.

I filled up with E85 and 87. Why do you ask? Because the fucktards at the station didn’t post any signs saying they were out of 93

I asked if it was a solvent or walnut media they said blasted walnut media and for the price, I'd expect the IM to come off. But I'll double check again. But at this point for my car, I think it'll appreciate any little bit of help it can get. My dealership is pretty good; usually.

Everybody here believes the Damond shift plate to be a better design and less likely to cause shift cables to bind and what not. I used the Corksport for a while, definitely didn't like the light shifter weight. Went to the Damond and never looked back. That with the stock shift weight is pretty good.

Replaced my front passenger side fender liner. For the 2nd time. May be installing CP-E PMM this weekend just to see how it is since nobody is buying.

Okay. Interesting. Well it felt fine, I will look into switching to the Damond though.

Finally just driving my car. 2 weekends ago, I tore off a rocker panel and bent a rim, last week it spent in the shop, the beginning of this week it went back to another shop, and I'm just happy to have it back to normal.

Changed out the rotors and pads with centric blanks and Hawk HPS. As reviewed they do have less initial bite, but they do stop when pushed. Will take some getting used to. Also excited about less fucking brake dust.

Installed a CP-E passenger mount. Shift feel is improved though there is a bit of jerkyness on decel. Vibes are surprisingly no different at idle or initially at tip in tho if you get into it there is a lot more noise and a bit of drone when cruising. Gotta let it break in I guess. I'd say noise will be the biggest downfall of this mount for me but I'll see. Vibes don't shake the whole car but steering wheel and pedal vibrations are more present.

Finally finished up the gauge install. For all that soldering I'm pretty happy with the results.

I know it's what you did "today" but I forgot to post it yesterday: took the speed out with the Nator CO boys to time attack. Holy shit balls fun. We all didn't really do that well, but it was a blast and we all improved, so I think that counts. Got the tires rotated after and it feels real good now. Minus the cuts

Installed JBR shifter base bushings. Easy and feels better. Not life changing like some reviews, but definitely more solid. I don't think my stock bushing set was that bad though.

Just cleaned the contacts on my power window master switch (after yesterday I found that I couldn't roll up the driver's rear window from the master switch). There was a ridiculous amount of corrosion on the all 4 relays.

I'm hoping the ms3 will last but if it doesn't I can't see myself getting into anything that isn't fun. The ranger already sucks all the joy out of my life.

I cleaned up my headlights last weekend with mothers nulens kit. Came out pretty clean considering what it looked like before.

Nice find! I used to have a 2001 ZX3. I loved that car!

Ugh, fucking people, man. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I got hit from behind a few months ago and while it definitely did not do near as much damage, I was ready to kill the gal! The stress it caused me though...I am sure that it took a few years off my life.

You can totally see the split second before the person collides with you where they attempt to brake. Clearly not paying attention.

Those SVT’s are great little cars, super fun to drive. Not very fast, but quick enough to be plenty of fun. Great find

I love those results! I need to do mine and this helped me choose what kit I need. Any pointers you can pass on before I go along with this project? Thanks man.
