My cars AC went out so I took it to a local shop, found out the evap core sensor is toast so I have to wait till Monday for a new one. Been over 95 every day this week.

Then on the way home my high coolant temp light starts blinking and I check the AP, coolant temp was at 240 and climbing...so I limped the car home and nothing in the reservoir. Added almost a gallon of Zerex Asian vehicle blend, burped it, things are back to normal now but there is definitely a leak yet nothing on the ground while the car idles....hope this isn’t a head gasket issue.

Default What did you do to your ride today?

Havenít been on here in a while due to work and being complacent with my car. With that being said, I finally found the wheels I want.

18x9. Only thing is they have a +26 off set. Yes I will roll my fenders.

I looked and found this one with a +30

So question is has anyone ran a +26 offset? Iíve read of +20 needing rolling and pulling but +26 seems an odd number. Any help would be appreciated. I have a slight drop on CS springs.

You would definitely need a roll and pull.

Sorry for the delayed response.

My 16ís donít clear the front caliper, before you get the wheel half on the caliper hits the wheel, may very well have to do with how the wheels are designed. Are you running a Speed3 or Speed6?

Customized OEM battery box and relocated ECU and EBCS to make room for new JBR 3.5Ē intake. Temporary fix until I get a permanent solution. The CS 51r battery box would be great, but Iím not paying $200 + $32 shipping + new battery. Thatíll be a $500 battery mod. F THAT.

Put some solid shifter bushings in. There is barely a difference, but then again i dont have all that many miles on my car. but while i was in there i saw a white plug in on the shifter without anything plugged into it. any idea what that is? obviously some option that my car doesnt have.

If the diameter is different than stock (I've not measured it in years), any change in velocity due to different tube size has been factored into Hypertech's MAF cal for that intake. You and I both have used that effectively for many years. In my case, over 10 years, now.

As long at that section of the intake system is the correct size, the MAF reading will probably be correct. Changing diameter in this section affects volume and thus mass air flow across the sensor. Larger volume means slower speed for the same air mass. Slower speed will adversely affect the accuracy of the voltage signal coming from the sensor.

Aftermarket TIP will not matter, again, as long as the air column back downstream, as it crosses the MAF sensor, is inside a tube section that is either stock size or the size of one of the approved intakes on Hypertech's list.

I have no way of knowing if any of the intake choices by Hypertech coincide with the diameter of the Aeros Full3. I suggest you check with Hypertech. I'm very doubtful that this will be the case, but hope that they can give you a choice that will work.

You are going to max out the K04 anyway with your other mods, so I doubt that intake, even if you can get an accurate, safe MAF cal, will make any more power for you on the stock K04 on pump gas.

I humbly suggest that you really need to do some careful logging if you plan to try this without confirmation from Hypertech that one of their MAF cal choices matches that intake.

So if you remember the hypertech thread where you recommended a compression test and hot oil flush, just had both and my numbers are up a tiny bit - 5psi +- across all four. So the downpipe was going on but no time before work and I'm leaving the intake as you were probably right.

So in other words, thanks again!

Is this ok for the engine? To have the intake filter up top and not somewhere else? I see most go to the wheel well area. Is that just a style or what are the pros and cons?

Air filters in your wheel wells are exponentially worse because of potential splashing from wet roads. They are only done for ďcold air intakes.Ē Mine is a 3.5Ē intake and my air is plenty cooled by my front mounted intercooler and a methanol spray.
