Just installed the SURE sidewinder I picked up last week. It was an easy install and the car defiantly feels more responsive during acceleration. I feel like it was a good mod.

Wheelspin through 3rd and some even in 4th. 60' of 2.2 with a 14.8 and 105 trap was the best of the night. It was horrible. My very first run I buried the needle in 1st and 2nd from wheel spin and then missed 3rd and 4th gear shifts. Ended up running a 16.4

Wheelspin through 3rd and some even in 4th. 60' of 2.2 with a 14.8 and 105 trap was the best of the night. It was horrible. My very first run I buried the needle in 1st and 2nd from wheel spin and then missed 3rd and 4th gear shifts. Ended up running a 16.4
I have taken my previous 2 cars to the track and they were both front wheel drive. I will be taking this one as well. The only advice I have from experience is avoid the water box, don't do a burn out, just spin the tires a few times to clean dust and dirt off the tires (non race compound tires don't need to be heated up and actually makes your launches worse) and as hard as it may be throttle modulate in first and second. The wheel spin you saw in 3rd and 4th I really can't help you cause that baffles me.

Maybe some people could benefit from the traction control... I don't know and have no room to talk since I have yet to take mine to the track yet either and I'm sure my driver mod is weaksauce.

Possibly. You would never know the true potential until you raced without it. Have to learn sometime and no better way then to practice and hit the ground running. Find an empty farm road and do some launches and 1-2 shift.

Rotated tires. Touched up wheels with duplicolor. Clear coated the intake mani. Mixed up some meth.

Hand washed for the first time, paying special attention to the wheels. (Usually use coin wash, but the brush/spray method just does nothing for brake dust or the exhaust tips)

On a related note, I'm really lacking in the window cleaning department. Damn do streaks drive me crazy.

i adjusted the vertical position of my energy RSB brackets and killed a clunk that has been driving me nuts since november. fuck yes, that felt good. i also took it to a mechanic to get a busted bolt out, had him tighten up the jbr RMM while he was under there, which got rid of a more recent clunk.

it's not often you kill two annoying, persistent noises in one day.

Yeah, need to get some sort of window treatment to cause it to bead instead of streak/spot. Never decided on a favorite. I'm open to suggestions and I'll look into that.

Honestly, they came clean pretty easily with a soapy sponge. Then again, it's not like the stuff's been caked on there for a year, baking in. But if they get really bad, or I decide to take them off and do the hub side of the rim I'll definitely go tire cleaner and give your wax idea a try.

Started retuning the car again:

- Switched from DO4 nozzle to DO7 meth nozzle
- now running 75/25 meth vs water
- advancing timing via ATR (laptop died before I could finish the latest map edits)

Bought a used Cobb AP, received my JBR 88 RMM and 88 TMM in the mail, was told by JP that edge shipped out my autotechs today, and installed the necessary shit on my computer to support the Cobb AP and data log. I can't wait for official summer.
