In your pic it looks like you have the bar at a 45 instead of completely flat. Not that it should make a difference in functionality but I had to turn mine at a 45 to get it away from the plastic. Just wondering if you ran into the same thing?
I actually twisted it back horizontally after I took this picture. I had plenty of clearance all around.

Mother of God. I had no idea that's what the barb was for since it made no mention of it in the instructions. I look like a damn cutter with all the lacerations on my hands and wrist from that.

Why?
Why not just an sri is what he meant. No need for cai on this car. Plus they take up more space and are harder to install....

Preference. Spend quite a while trying to decide which intake I wanted. I settled on the CS SRI for a while but after looking around some more I decided to go with the Injen CAI

But the question is why exactly? CAIs provide no benefit over SRIs

Just curious as to your reasoning

Get the intake point lower and draw in some cooler air.

Read up on oils and finally got around to changing it and the filter tonight. Rotella T6 all day! I know, normal stuff but still has its benefits...

I just received my injen cai today. I bought mine because of the price. It was used and I paid a fraction of what I would of paid for if I went with my original choice, the CS sir/tip combo.

I have saved so much money donating and using the for sale section than if I bought all my mods brand new.

Does it have an air straightener ? Alot of guys where having issues with their fuel trims.. Injen never updated their design for the gen2. Sell the same intake for 2007-2011. The maf is different on the each gen. Hopefully it doesnt give you any issues.

Not bashing, just trying to help you get quality parts for the car. Like from the venders that spend more R&D on our plat form. (JBR, Cobb, UR, Streetunit, CPE) that don't just throw a intake together or relabel the box to say it'll work on your 2010+ speed. These engines aren't honda's cant just throw anything on there.

installed my cp-e catted dp. I've never done a dp so I was nervous about getting bolts to break loose or stripping an oxygen sensor....it all went pretty flawlessly. Except for dropping a test pipe onto my face...that hurt like hell. 3.5 hours, no air tools, no extra hands, no lift...I'm happy with the result.

Take it for what it's worth but the general consensus based off of used oil analysis done by companies such as blackstone labs will tell you that our cars prefer rotella T6 5w-40 or penzoil platinum 5w-30. I would ditch the castrol and probably the Oil filter as well. You can get a better filter for cheaper. Just trying to save you money!

Bosch Premium is same as Purolator pureONE - except gasket is black rubber vs. treated orange one.

This was good, too: http://www.300cforums.com/forums/gen...dissected.html

Put on my snow shoes and discovered this. Went and got it aligned but honestly it want as far out of spec as i thought it would be considering the wear. 30k miles on these, but they looked fine at 25k when i put the Corksport springs in. :screwy:
