Are you going to remove some?

SofaKingAwesome 12-22-2011 09:05 AM

kylec_2003 12-22-2011 09:19 AM

I love the dark ass windows on the white. That is how I did it with my old car.

Jhornbrook 12-22-2011 09:47 AM

stop your bitchin just wear night vision goggles. sam fishcer style. love your free tint.

rghispanic88 12-22-2011 09:47 AM

prepare for many tickets to come. lol

BReif61 12-22-2011 09:51 AM

You put 5% tint on your windshield?

In for inevitable fail.

taf0422 12-22-2011 09:55 AM

In for next thread about totalled car at night for not being able to see!

ruthless013 12-22-2011 10:01 AM

no where in the US is 5% legal on front windows, certainly not on the windshield. sorry, your uncles kind of a tard.

my 20%, also not legal (in my state) is a little scary at night on poorly lit streets. it's just a matter of time before you hit something - hopefully that something doesnt have a good lawyer.

does look kinda cool though.

Teethkikr 12-22-2011 10:04 AM

Now you can :op: on your girl and nobody will see

Tokay444 12-22-2011 10:09 AM

Uncle for a doc?
Doc for an uncle you mean?
What does that have to do with tint anyway?
Why can't you just where sunglasses at night?
Or close the blinds?
Same affect as tinting a windshield.

jroc 12-22-2011 10:11 AM

genpu. not surprised.

2011speed 12-22-2011 10:14 AM

take off the tint off windshield and quit bitchin.

MS3-a(sore)ASS-rex 12-22-2011 10:29 AM

Fuck this car

rfinkle2 12-22-2011 10:35 AM

I see a relationship between doctors and tint and will try to salvage your thread.

Your uncle / doctor, may be able to write you a medical exception so you don't have to rip all of your tint off.

davinspeed3 12-22-2011 10:37 AM

I'm thinking he was trying to say his uncle "a doctor" hooked him up with a medical waiver for dark tint ( otherwise illegal). This can be done and is written to people that have sensitive eyes and can't see well due to the sun. But op is still a fucking idiot for tinting the windshield 5%. I had 5% on my camaro all the way around ( when I was 16 and not the windshield) and I couldn't see shit at night. Will never do that again. IMO 20% is perfect and just a strip on windshield.

Op pls post pics of car after you fucking crash it cause you couldn't see shit. Or let us know when you go to jail for running over some kid cause your dumbass put 5% on the windshield.

Edit: finkle got his post in first and beat me to the point about the doc.

Ahhhhh... That explains the "Legally"
It's so clear to me now, unlike seeing out those windows on a dark stormy night.

silvapain 12-22-2011 10:56 AM

Why not just replace your glass with black ABS plastic. Saves weight, and it's dark as shit. Win-Win.

I just close my eyes when I'm driving at night. It's pretty much the same idea, and I never get pulled over for too-dark tints.

I think what the OP is getting at is that his uncle gave him a medical release for tint laws. I have the same thing from my doc. It's an exemption from the tint law.

I had 5% on a couple of show cars and it's just too dark for daily driving. Had to roll the windows down to back into the garage. Had it removed and went with 20% on the sides, which is still pretty dark in overcast skies.

The 5% on the front is just fucking stupid.

rghispanic88 12-22-2011 01:35 PM

ohh, didnt know that was possible.

stll that is ridiculous dark

LakeSTLMS3 12-23-2011 10:52 AM

5% on the rear does suck for backing up, I have that on mine but I manage. However, 5% on the windshield doesn't even make sense. Why the fuck would you do that?

bigriver 12-23-2011 10:58 PM

Don't quit your day job, because you just have to drive during the day. Problem solved.

eppopipe 12-24-2011 12:35 AM

Im legally "Photosensitive" I have major issues with sunlight or other direct UV ray. I burn up to blisters after 30 min in the sun. I have a hard time seeing.
I have a real reason for my tint and I only went to 17% but I didnt do the windshield. Get some sunglasses for the front. Oh and yes, I do have a legal signed medical waiver for my tint.

spnkr21 12-24-2011 04:48 AM

I have 5% in the back.
I'll never do that again.

Tokay444 12-24-2011 05:53 AM

I used to be lactose intolerant.
I don't have any tint on my windows.

predapio 12-24-2011 11:46 AM

Just when my wife had me convinced that I was the stupidest mthrfckr in the world.....

Thanks OP, you saved me.

Voltron 12-24-2011 11:59 AM

5% all around? The 90s called, they want their shit back.

rodrigo 12-24-2011 12:03 PM

u seriously dumb enough to not have anticipated this??? .....also food for thought...... while u might not get a tinted windows ticket u WILL get pulled over more often now opening the door for "other " shit to be wrong with your car.

food for thought nub

asall667 12-24-2011 12:23 PM

I have 10% all the way around been like that for a year in PA and never have I got stopped for tint.

Also, The front windshield is not tinted let me add that.

I do tho have to roll my window down when I parallel park at night to see my side mirror.

Dash08 12-24-2011 12:37 PM

OP reminds me of this...

youtube - this sticker is dangerous and inconvenient

let me explain to u nub.

windshield is tinted....on the OP s car....now let me ask u a simple question.

where do u see more cops on your rearview mirrors or in front of your windshield??? for every one cop u might see in the mirror u will see 20 or more through the windshield...crossing...coming at you...pulling away...etc etc....

they see u too now ......once they cant see u inside they ll fucken come and get ya .....to me its too popo risky to do that on the windshield....no one lasts

alien_sporez 12-24-2011 12:46 PM

My sister AND my father are both docs, so I'm doing 1% all around... FYFVN (fuck your forward vision ni**a)
