What have you had to get warrantied on your car?

What have you had to get warrentied on your car since you bought new. Please give year and mileage.

MoparGo 12-17-2011 09:14 PM

Ok...

...I'll play...

2007 Sport - 2 "warranty claims"

1) Mazda (TSB) smoke at idle (replaced valve cover, TIP, PVC, hoses) - @52,xxx miles
2) Gasoline filler pipe debris flap fix (replaced entire gasoline filler pipe) - @56,xxx miles

BLK_MS3 12-17-2011 09:23 PM

2010, 20K.

Idler pulley, tensioner pulley and belt. Was getting some squeaks at cold startup (fixed).
Alignment and balance, had a slight vibration (fixed).

My drivers seat is squeaking sometimes now, so that will be my next trip...

taf0422 12-17-2011 09:31 PM

2007 ms3 GT

fuel pump replaced at 10K miles. (once)
bose six disc replaced (3 different time)
all things that are suspension on the passengers side front due to a squeak over every bump.
both headlights peeling replaced

My seat is rocking back and forth now. Got it look at by mazda after warranty and they told me 700+ just for the parts, fuck you mazda!

eppopipe 12-17-2011 09:35 PM

2010
Right around 2500 miles or so I had alot of slop in the front. Turned out the stock RMM was ripped apart. Replaced under warranty and then upgraded.

shifter48 12-17-2011 09:57 PM

Sweet..hope people can also tell the mileage and if they had any problems with their warranty if there were slight mods..rmm swaybars sri etc..I'm sure alot of us would like to know what others had problems with.

2008speed3 12-17-2011 09:58 PM

2008, 45,000 miles
never been back to dealership
the only problem i have is my car squeaks and creeks when very cold but i'm not going to stock out in the winter

Midnitehours 12-17-2011 10:33 PM

2011, 22,000 miles

Headlights replaced due to fogging, and rear endlink replaced due to clunking.

Instrument_Guy 12-19-2011 08:58 PM

2010, 32000 km; Both headlights replaced b/c the lens were foggy inside, rear hatch lock mechanism replaced to fix rattle in hatch back. Rear end links tightened to get rid of suspension clunk. Stocked out the car except for my CBE for the warranty work; those fuckers made a note on the work order that "car had aftermarket exhaust" so be careful what mods you have on your car when you bring it in; they can look up the work history of the car if other "problems" crop up down the road...

You have that many miles on a 2011? Damn you do a lot of driving haha.

2010, 20,658 miles, haven't been back to the dealership since I bought the car and never will since my brother own's a garage and can do the work for me for dirt cheap haha. The only issue I have with my car is the bluetooth is not working (error message keeps popping up) but that could be due to my phone and really don't use it anyways so it's not worth a trip down to the stealership.

I never even thought to take it in due to headlight fogging issues. I'll have to do that after winter and hopefully get a new set!

This is my first car with a bumper to bumper still so I need to pick this thing apart before it expires, lol...

ChokeMeiLikeIt 12-20-2011 12:53 AM

2011 replaced rf headlight due to excessive moisture at 6k. guess their is a tsb out there for this, and from the posts seems to be a common issue

lots of rattles and creeks while driving, but not sure if i am even going to mess with trying to get them repaired. always seems tearing panels apart to get to the cause only causes two more rattles later down the road.

fishin53 12-20-2011 01:20 AM

jan, 2010 turbo replaced at 9k

may 2010 seat and pass. window switch replaced ~15k

august 2010 bpv(didn't solve the problem) and dp gasket(never told me what was exactly wrong mother fuckers) ~20k

cesaros 12-20-2011 01:57 AM

havent had it in yet...

2010, 24k

Why the seats?

fishin53 12-20-2011 09:43 AM

the drivers seat cause the tack welds on the mount broke. and they broke again at like 38k so i just got it welded back together, but welds all along the bracket.

If the sound goes away at speed I kinda doubt it's bearings. You sure it's not just diff noise you're hearing?

galens47 12-20-2011 10:29 AM

My fucking rear door is rattling. I want to warranty the thing. Looks like I have to balance irritation vs stocking out.

2010 MS3, 12,000 miles

kmac 12-20-2011 11:44 AM

Nothing yet

RichieRichness 12-20-2011 11:49 AM

Warrantied:
Timing chain/vvt actuator
Purge Solenoid Valve
Leaking Front Diff

Not Warrantied:
Tensioner pulley

Travis 12-20-2011 11:51 AM

Afr sensor at 13000

Shift cable at 15000

Jake_MS3 12-20-2011 01:07 PM

Yep etown; 2 different dealers; Landmark (where the car was purchased) for the rear hatch lock mechanism and sway bar end links. They fucked me around for 3 days trying to fix the hatch; when I got the car back, the rattles were still there, they stained my drivers seat and there were oil stains all over my hatch cover. I decided not to take the car back there so I took it down to Weber to get the headlights replaced. They did a good job but they made the note on my work order about the CBE so be careful about whats on your car if you take it in there...

lethalphelon 12-20-2011 09:04 PM

2010 with 18000, had steering wheel changed out at 17000. Black leather dye was coming off the sterring wheel. Also had the rear view mirror replayed at about 5000 miles because it wouldnt stay in place.

Ya i am not so sure about weber anymore. I have some friends who work there so I don't think they will flag me but I took it in there around 55 k and I didn't do the 50 k service because it has no maintenance items that were needed and the writer put on my invoice "50 k service declined". Hopefully that doesn't screw me down the road with my ext warranty with Mazda.

MS309 12-20-2011 09:49 PM

2011 16000 kms. Had endlinks tightened.

Autoworld Mazda did put down "has aftermarket air filter" under the filter check area but not a big deal. I had a talk with the tech and he didn't say anything about it.

2010

Car had SRI, TIP, FP, HIDs, CBE, DP, SSP. Took the AP off in the parking lot before I went in.

Had a wierd speedo/cruise issue. They said the wiring for the speed sensor had rubbed on something and was shorting. They replaced it under warranty.

deadlandxtreme 12-21-2011 09:47 AM

Engine

2010 Speed3 - 18.5k miles
Had a turbo back exhaust, intake, and bpv on for 15 miles. Then BOOM, rod right through the block. Getting a brand new engine from Mazda as we speak!

Why are internals/FP not listed in there...

In b4 flame war

wolly6973 12-21-2011 10:18 AM

Flame war has already commenced...

Same reason AP isn't listed. I figured I could at least make it one day without an explotion. My car disagreed with my flawed logic. Lol

Well it's your fault for not following the proper steps, and your fault for letting another shop drive your car when you knew it couldn't be pushed. You also got extremely lucky with Mazda.

deadlandxtreme 12-21-2011 11:04 AM

Hmm?

Well riddle me this.... how is it that the failure rate with these mods are so intermittent? There is no real time table at which things can go. So it was a crap shoot that I lost out on, and I agree about Mazda. I'm defiantly leaning toward the notion that the car was abused before I got it. Hell the clutch is down about 30%, so no telling how the fool drove it. Again, should have taken the safe way and followed the steps. Live and learn :pat:

AegisKlein 12-21-2011 11:52 AM

Holy shit, you all have a metric ass ton of miles on your cars.

2011 (purchased on 10/10/10) with 8,500 miles.

No warranty work done, but thinking of taking it to the dealer for a check-up because the car puts out too much power!! :friday:

Man I passed that last month and I got mine in March. No dealer visits yet other than oil changes.

What parts were causing the rocking? Mine is being worked on as we speak and I believe mine suffers from the same issue

Teethkikr 12-22-2011 06:38 AM

There is a TSB out for seat tracks that basically come loose.. They will add more reinforcement to the seat track.. If they find the track broken, they should replace the track.. Good luck
