Good deal. I appreciate the info. I will make sure they take a look at it while it's in there for the Boom-Boom. Less time in the shop and more time on the road!

2010 @ 34.5K Miles.

Had squeaky seat fixed @ 5K miles

Took it last week to fix a non-working map light (they ordered the whole new assembly).

Can someone share the TSB for the seat sliders?

Thanks

aside from that, i see everyone else complaining about shit popping, creaking, rattling
i have 11k on the car now

I think I win the award for most parts warranties, if not then total expense of parts warranties, in the last year I've gotten:
A new 2012 MZR Motor,
New 2012 k04
New Intake Manifold
A New PTO.
Then I made the dealership give me a new tail light, paint job, and blow job. (Sales Woman was Hot!)

Serpentine belt snapped and was replaced.
Waterpump blew up and was replaced.

My seat moves around a little bit, someone said this was a TSB?

only warrantied issue was my seat making a pop noise...they "fixed" it, and that "fix" lasted all of about a month.

Need to get my windows looked at..ever since I bought the car, if my windows are rolled down a little and I close the door, it sounds like the window is rattling loose.

edit: I have 30k miles on the clock.

I see you've never been in a Cobalt SS haha. This car is fantastically well put together for what it is. The stress we put on them does seem to cause rattles and pops down the road though, from what I've read.

Wow, interesting to hear all the problems.

Approaching 30k on a 2010 and not one thing broken yet. Seat was always a little squeaky but i learned to live with that.

At 10k trans went out. New trans put in under warranty. They also found the trans mount was busted - replaced that too.

Now at 22k I'm feeling a little signs of what happened before. Going to go with synth fluid and get a tmm.

2010 w tech. 28,800 miles. No previous repairs or issues.

Sitting at dealership now. Having the following looked at:

Driver's side window track, driver's side seat squeak and pop, Bluetooth not working, possible chirping sound on cold start and vvt just in case.

Only squeaks/rattles I get are from my jbr trilogy causing the interior to vibe with the a/c on at idle.

Other than that (if you call that a problem), no issues. 16.5k on it so far, and the trans shifts nice and smoooooooth.

Dealership could not replicate window rattle. Seat bracket is damaged. Allegedly from drag racing, although I did not admit to racing the car. They said they will replace the bracket this one time only.

Yeah, that's BS, if it comes up again you tell them to suck it and fix it again.

90000 miles. Yes. 90000. So far just the passenger window weatherstripping came out of the groove around 10k. So far that's it.

Oh wait....forgot to mention the turbo started smoking last week. Haha. Swapping out tomorrow. Not bad for 90000 miles and two seasons of autoxing. Beaten the shit out of it and still lasted this long.

Yeah service rep was a semi hot chick so I might end up telling her to suck it either way. I go back next week to have the bracket replaced. She was pretty cool considering I went in there with all my mods. They didn't give me any grief, regarding the vvt so I think if it does ever start to act up they will cover it regardless of modifications.

2010, 18,000 miles driver side headlight due to moisture, the rear hatch button to open the hatch just popped out at the car wash one day but all fixed under warranty, even got a free lunch with the sales dude that sold me the car. Sounds like I got some stuff to look forward too, hope the free lunches continue. lol

2011. no problems yet other than some minor rattles which I don't mind (used to have a sunfire which sounded like the interior was falling apart all the time).

For those who have taken their car to warranty (in this thread most of you), Should I take the CBE if I take it to warranty? I know I have to take everything else out of the car but really don't want to take the exhaust out. Probably depends on the dealer but what is your experience with it?

I was thinking the same...

Its one thing if you go in for service being obviously modded and have an engine issue, but a seat bracket?? Unreal.

Yeah I asked if "serious". Possibly the dumbest thing I've been told by a dealership employee. But it was a chick so not even worth arguing. Just glad I'm putting warranty to use.

Yes it depends on the dealership but IMHO just ask any dealer you go to where are the NEW speed3's, if all they have is used they are not certified speed dealers, mod unfriendly. If they do have NEW speed3's they speed certified, the dealership spent the extra 30,000 to certify their tech's, these dealerships seem to be more mod friendly. My service manager actually told me on the DL that bolt ons are fine with him, DP, TIP, even internals, like they could tell anyway but if you tune it wrong and go zoom-zoom BOOM don't come crying to me. I'm cool with that.

After getting the VVT & Timing Chain warranty extension letter my engine sounds like it is "rattling." I'm not sure if it's actually a problem or if I'm just imagining that it sounds worse. I might take it into the dealership and let it be their problem just in case.

nothing, they've denied fixing my car door handle and caster arm
thats when i said fuck it and spent the few thousand you see in my sig.

one of these days i'll find the time to get rid of my extended warranty or something. I dont really care anymore though. I'm glad my car's been relatively badass besides the aforementioned.

Should have leaned on her desk, looked her in the eye and told her it was from the roughest, best and wildest sex any woman could ever imagine, not from drag racing, because that shit won't break your seat.

Her panties will get wet. I guarantee it, or your money back!
