What are people REALLY paying for a Speed3? I test drove a 2011 a while back, and I need a car right now. I used to drive a Mazda 3 iSport Sedan. I rolled it and it saved my life. Not a scratch on me. Looking at the Speed3's now. A couple of my friends own one. But I'm wondering... What should I expect to pay? Invoice on a base is around $24k, but I see people saying they paid around $21 w/ tech package... Is this common? Maybe existing owners can chime in with what they paid to help new buyers decide and negotiate. Please include price BEFORE tax/title/dealer BS. |
IMO, these are good prices. w/o tech - $21,800 w/ tech - $24,000 Unless you know someone at the dealer. |
There are threads, many threads that cover this. |
fuck that....look at interest me? getting anally raped....payments are 523/mo over 5 years.....that is $31380 |

on the topic of interest- i'm paying 2500$ interest over a 72month loan. and my payments are just over 300/month. coul've gotten lower interest rate if i put cash down, but the intereste doesn't bother me too much because i send double payments and will have it paid off early |

Some car forums, like EvolutionM for example, have a dedicated sticky thread where people talk about how much they paid for their vehicles. It's on-going and always active. It's also invaluable. Was just hoping something like that might start here. Thanks to anyone who shares info. |

^i went through that with my bank already...with pnc i could have got 3.9%....but it would only save me 44 a month...and im currently in a position to pay it off early so i am just going to stick with it |
I got rolled by dealer too. Know better for next time. Payment was just under 500. Just refied at 2.99%, payment didn't drop much but much better terms! Cheers, G |
You guys should have bought a 5.0 stang for $500/month. Did you guys take any personal finance classes in school? With a few k down and good credit you should have been under $400/month for 5 years. Wanna buy some ocean front property in Kansas? Was the lube cherry flavored? . |
I bought mine for 25, exact tag price. They couldnt bugde bc they gave me full value of 19900 for my truck. Now I am fin 14k at 270 a month. 2% apr |
Im in Arizona and found mine for 22,995$ 2011 W/ Tech, cystal black mica, 8k miles, no damage at all, some decent drag wheels and a K&N intake was listed at 4k under KBB and the bank showed it as 4.5K under retail value couldnt be happier with the deal |
bought my 2010 brand new. 21,700 no tech package. put 6000 down. 298/mo 5 years. im happy. |
I would have loved a 5.0 but after last years snow in MN I didnt want my only vehicle to be rear wheel drive again. I had a 2005 Crown Vic LX, loved that car, love rear wheel drive but the seats were made for someone a little wider than me (it was like driving around sitting on your couch). back on topic,. I paid 24,600 w/tech and 0% for 60. I was happy with it and it was the color I wanted, I imagine i could have gotten another 500 out of them but I liked the car. 22 for non tech and 24 with tech seems to be a fairly good deal that should be within your reach. |
21k flat + t.t.l. (2010 w/ tech). Bought at the end of the 2010. |

I paid 24,450$ for my 2011 with tech in May. Got 3.39% APR for 60 months. 420.06$/mo with 3000$ down. check sites like 100% Haggle-Free New Car Price Quotes from Local Dealers - TrueCar for a good idea of what others are paying in your area. Don't be afraid to drive 150-200mi to save 1500$. it's a good idea to get pre-approval from your local credit union/bank on an interest rate. If you walk in with a good rate, you can usually haggle the dealer into giving you .5% percent off and/or matching the rate (obviously depends on your credit, etc) but this way the dealership can't play you. Also ask to see the price sheet worked up before you agree, ask things like 'what additional fees does this dealership charge for paperwork/etc.', they might give you a price 500$ under any other nearest dealership, but then add additional fees for processing paperwork, etc, which negates the better vehicle price. good luck with your purchase! |

Yeah but its not unified, we need a sticky that gets specific and standardized information. Info like Sale price of CAR, OTD price, location. These threads are all "here is my story" threads which are great a providing insight and help to specific people but searching every thread is inefficient....we need a new "section" on the forum for prices and a sticky in that section for a database of prices. |

New 2012 Mazda Mazda3 Price Quote w/ MSRP, Dealer Cost & Invoice |
I got my 2011 ms3 /w tech package for $24k over a month ago. I have new credit and Chase financed the car with 0% interest over 60 months. The guy at the dealer told me they aren't supposed to give 0% on the mazdaspeeds and especially someone with new credit. I guess I got lucky. |

Try Truecar . com Otherwise, ask to see the invoice. Different states and cities have different demands and tax rates. In the end, you can't put a price on happiness and this car is a win! |

Those are 2012 new prices. Truecar agrees. also, i thought 0% on speed3's ended? |
i put 0 down, car was 16k plus tax/tags/title my payment is 325/month(with GAP coverage) for 60months at 7% apr. i'll be refinancing pretty soon through USAA. APR on used cars suck for consumers right now |
I got my 2011 back in May for 22K no tech package and I had to shop real long and hard to get it at this price. Dealer was 100 miles away. Local dealers wanted 2-3K more. And I had to wait for it to come in 3 weeks, it was in transit here via boat. I financed separately through my bank and got 2.9% for 60 months with my good credit, can't remember what I put down although payment is a reasonable 254 a month. |
I'm looking at a black 2012 w/Tech package and looking at $25,200 |

At our dealership there is no more 0 for 60 months....finance through a credit union or somewhere else.....if you finance the car at dealership you pay more(from my 2 months of car selling experience)finance the car outside dealership and say you are paying cash(after you get approved) equals better deal.... |
^i thought not always it seemed to me that car companies make money two ways...either up front...or on the back end if you offer cash up front wouldnt they inflate the price to compensate for money lost on the back end through financing? |
Mine: $21k without TTL $23-24k includin ttl etc. If I had the mazda loyalty coupon It would have been $20.5k without ttl. |
In my case, financing through the dealer was cheaper than our local credit union. I bought mine, 2012 w/tech @ 25,100. I negotiated with the dealer that I will only purchase the car if they give me 1.9% @ 60 months, and they did. I think the best I can do at a local credit union at the time was about 3.9%. |
