24. Bought a SkyActiv for my work commute after graduation.

Traded it in last week for a heavily marked down 2012 Red Speed3. Ate some negative equity because I was dumping money into other loans but I'll erase that quickly.

This ^^ When I bought mine, the salesman told me that a 17 year old got his rich mother to buy him one as his grad gift and first car.. he also crashed it after only having it for 3 days LOL. Since, he refuses to sell a speed to beginners.

You kid ms3 owners don't know how lucky you are. Back in England your insurance would be so high that your anus would be as wide a genpu smile. Point being , most insurance carrier wouldn't touch you anyone under 25 in a car like this. Back their the person is insuranced at highest risk level so forget about insuring under mummy or daddy's name.

No doubt. When I was 19 I bought an 01 cobra. My insurance was more than my car payment. But I loved that car! Wish I still had it.

My first car was a 1991 miata. 16 years old. Paid it of and put 5k in suspension. I still have it
Then bought a 1996 SL2 for $500( needed because the miata was getting suspension done in my garage). Traded the sl2 for a miata hardtop...hehehe

Then bought a 05 Mazda 3 2.3sp hatch. 18 years old. Had it for about 10 months and sold it and worked my ass off for 3 month(only 6 days off during that time) to pay what I had left from the Mazda 3. I was driving my moms caravan for a month. November 3rd came and that's when I got my 08.5 GT at 19. Working hard pays off.
