was reading the thread about a 55 years old man buying a Genpu and remind me my wife when I bought my car 4 months ago, she told me that I on the mid life crisis....I turned 40 last July, so here is the question to anyone that has purchased a Speed, What age were you when you purchased yous Speed?

I'm in grad school and my truck wasn't cutting it anymore. I wanted something with more than 2 seats, has a/c, gets decent mileage, is fun to drive, can carry my bikes, and won't break the bank. only 1 car really fell into all my categories, and here i am.

Bought my first at 21 after my first deployment then the Ex-bitch took it in divorce and just bought another at 24

well I got hooked at 29 when I bought the gen1 as a 30th birthday present for myself. I bought the genpu as a mid life crisis on my 33rd birthday, I wanted to smile more!

never modded the gen1 and this one is barely stock.. Damn you MSF!!!!!

32- walked in to test drive it and left with a brand new car with 20 miles on the odo.

Bought mine last march just after I turned 42. I wanted a mustang but with two kids 7 and 11 we needed 4 doors. Havn't regretted the purchase a bit.

Was 28 when i bought mine feb 2011, and im 29 now. traded in my fully loaded 04 nissan titan cause i wanted back into a tuner/ turbo car after my sr20det 240sx got totaled. bought the truck after that but always missed the fun of the little tuner car.

This is my 2nd brand new car. I bought my 2006 Tiburon gt January of 07 when I was 19yo. Just bought my 2012 speed3 November of 2011 at the ripe age of 24. I found out I had my first kid on the way and couldn't think of a better baby hauler. LOL

December 2011. 27 years of age.

Bought my MS6 in September '09 when I was 26.

Bought mine when I was 19. Now I'm 21 and in engineering school. I wanted a CWP speed since I was in high school so I bought it when I could afford it!

Just bought mine a few months back, 24 years old, spun out on the highway twice with my old camry last winter so I decide to get something worth spinning out with.

I bought mine last feb at 32. I missed having a fun car.

Bought mine at 25 in April 2010. I would have bought a 2007 true red speed3 when I was 22 right out of college but I didn't know how to drive stick and was a wimp so I went with a regular 3 (still loved that car for the reliability and quality!)

Bought my speed6 in Feb 2010 at the age of 27. One year later I traded that in for a 2008 speed3 and was 28. Now I'm about to hit 30 and I'm still loving my MS3!

26. Have wanted it since 08 when I went for a drive in my friends speed. Then wanted it again in '09 when I went for a test drive in a genpu, I was the passenger in both drives and couldn't stop smiling, thinking someday I'll own this.

Well. Fk. Now I do. And I'm glad. All good things come with time.

I got mine on February 8th, 2011. I'm 22.

bought mine in June of 2010 at 19 years old. I'm 21 now. I was a good and bad decision on my part. The bad is that I need to go to college and the payment makes it nearly impossible. The good is that I'm learning new skills rather than just turning wrenches like I did on my previous SVT Focus.

Bought mine when I was 18, 19 now. This car takes all my money with mods on top of a payment

It was a 23rd birthday present to myself.

28, second new car. I bought my Sentra SE-R when i was 24. If I had done my home work I would have a nicely modded Gen1 by now. FUCK!! Lol, I lliked the Sentra but Gen1 would've been better.

I was 23 when I bought my speed 6. I'm 26 now and planning to build an Ultima GTR before I'm 30. When I'm older people are going to think I'm having a midlife crisis but going fast is just in my DNA. I'll have fast cars and bikes until I physically can't ride/drive them anymore.

Bought mine myself at 20 for my bday. I also have a 14month old daughter and the 2 door balt was not cutting it.

i'm 35 & spent 10 years building fast VWs but got tired of wrenching more than i was driving! cross shopped against the genesis 3.8 and almost bought it but their forums are PACKED to the gills with reliability complaints about everythin from bluetooth to wobbly driveshafts to warped dashes on brand new cars! so, i already love my 09 mazda5 so i test drove the ms3 and bought it right after xmas last year. best bang for buck out there right now!

Bought mine two years ago when I was 20

29 here. Second Mazda 3 I have owned. Tried every other car out there and nothing is as fun to drive. It is a close second to the motorcycle and or riding a downhill mountain bike. lol

25 When i bought mine, 26 now. Wife was the one who wanted me to get it. I just liked it bc it rode better and had more power then my Civic SI.

Was tired of driving an SUV, wanted something that could move, had to keep wife and kid in mind.

31 bought my 07 ms3 at 29. I actually waited until a used one was cheap enough to afford FMMN(my mortgage). Wanted an ms3 since their inception.

I was 19 girl friend wanted a Mazda and while she was looking I figured I would too. I had an old gas sucking truck and a Jeep trades the Jeep because I dumped way to much money into the truck motor. They gave me a good trade in deal and I walked off with a black genpu and she got just a 3 good day. Now I have that my beast truck and bought another Jeep haha I just can't have enough vehicles.

I'm 31, bought the car a year ago. Never drove one and never knew anyone with one. Walked into dealer and bought it....best descision I ever made. I finally have a constructive hobby that I enjoy that doesn't leave my liver enzymes through the roof!
