By the way, the last meet was pretty awesome.

Mike took me out in his car to "motivate" me to mod more, which resulted in my vocabulary immediately being diminished to four-or-less letter words, if you catch my drift :)

After that, Jonathan actually let me drive his car, which was also crazy fast. I think it was on 22 psi.

After that, a few of my other friends wanted me to try out their cars, so I got to drive a stage 1 WRX and a stage 2 MS6, and got a ride in an SRT4.

I'd say the night was pretty victorious.

Word!, I still haven't gotten a ride in Mike's car yet T_T
Nice! sounds like a good Monday... I would have come out but I usually travel every week for work -_-, along with this coming Monday :(... You coming out to the DC Dyno day??

racingred 02-02-2012 10:38 PM

I probably won't actually go on the dyno, but I'll try to be there to hang out and such.

^^^^this. I was going to say that it seems like his parents instilled good values in him and the reward was deserved to a point. I hope my boy is this academically gifted at his age. way to go @CJM!!

Oh and not to threadjack.........

I bought my Speed as a 34th Birthday gift to myself in Nov 2010!! First new car ever and I must say I have great taste!!!:09:

Shooter McGavin 02-03-2012 12:56 PM

22, bought it in September right after I got my first real job out of college.

pebenito 02-03-2012 01:03 PM

I got mine a month before I turned 30, though it had nothing to do with the fact that I was turning 30. I just wanted a fun car.

MS3_TN 02-03-2012 01:06 PM

30. Bought a Genpu earlier this month.

ICEBOXOCB 02-03-2012 01:06 PM

Bought mine when I was 25 in 2008. Wanted an upgrade from my Neon r/t that I could cover the note and insurance payments with my VA disability check.

thatsmrgimp2u 02-03-2012 01:07 PM

I was 22... Bought it in August 08. The exhaust note has wore on me a bit but I wouldn't give those car up for anything.

JSpeed3 02-03-2012 01:36 PM

Whew.......looks like I just made it not being the oldest MS3 owner. If all goes well, I will be trading my 2007 350Z Roadster for a 2011 MS3 tomorrow at the young age of 58. Looks like 62 is the "winner". As I know 62 can attest to, we can remember all too clearly that to change the TV channel, you actually had to get up and turn a knob on the TV! Wasn't too bad because there were only 13 channels to choose from and half of them, all black and white by the way, you could barely see.

doctavus 02-03-2012 01:57 PM

I'm 34, bought my 12 MS3 last Saturday.

I got used to a smooth riding car on my old one and really didn't want another rough riding car, but I fell in love with this one and don't regret it one bit.

Just have to try telling myself to not modify it......We'll see how that goes.

ktms3 02-03-2012 02:02 PM

I picked up my 08 in august of 07 when i was 26. I just paid off a bunch of bills and me and my gf of five years just broke up. So i said fuck it I'm buying myself a new car. Figured since I just spent five years blowing money on a cum dumpster it was time to spend it on myself. Was gonna get the new 08 wrx but the speed was faster, cheaper, and nicer. I'm 31 now and have had the car almost five years and have 113k on her. Car still runs like a fucking champ and has been more reliable than any woman.

Burger2002 02-04-2012 10:30 AM

I picked up my 2010 in September of 2010 when I was 26. First car I've owned where the ac and all the windows work. Picked her up with 7 miles on the clock and after putting on another 27500 I haven't had one problem.

Docnox 02-04-2012 10:34 AM

Got mine when I was 22, just turned 25.

I always liked them, test drove one for shits and giggles. Next week the motor goes in my Intrepid (my first car), went back and bought it.

The mark of a true car enthusiast... "Enjoyed them all." Some car guys get very defensive and narrow minded when talking about (their) cars. A true car guy can and does appreciate all cars and trucks. There is some merit in all cars. In fact, driving fast in slow cars is some of the most fun you can have.

BlueDmnSpeed 02-04-2012 10:51 AM
