Wheels and tires?

What do you guys prefer for washing you're wheels and tires (Stock)?

And how lol

Thanks

anavrinIV 10-21-2012 11:59 AM

I find that soap and water is the best for washing. I've tried mud and used motor oil but that just seems to make them dirtier. I also tried pure air pressure but that gave me mesothelioma and I had to call those stupid tv commercial law firm numbers for my settlement. And the wheels didn't even up any cleaner.

RdotQelo 10-21-2012 12:08 PM

I use crocodile tears and mouse semen..cleans them right up

castrocastro 10-21-2012 12:25 PM

Some all purpose cleaner, water and a ton of elbow grease with wheel brushes and rags will do the trick.

At times if the break dust is fresh water and rag will work fine

This My first car and never had to wash one be for. Didn't think there be douchebags on this, but i guess that be where ever you are hahah thanks my dudes

if you have the funds, get yourself some quality and SAFE wheel cleaner. Do not use any of that OTS mothers or meguiars crap as they're basically acid and will eat the shit out of your wheels finish. My favorite as of late has been Sonax full effect, little pricey but its awesome stuff. I've also used Griots wheel cleaner in the past with success, and its cheaper.

If you have never used the Adams line of cleaning products you should try it out. I use their green wheel cleaner and boars hair brush. The boars hair brush does an excellent job in getting the dirt in the lug holes. The Green Wheel Cleaner and boars hairs brush is quick, easy, and does a great job.

Adam's Green Wheel Cleaner

This is my method and I am sure everyone has their own. As long as you don't use something stupid like Ajax to clean them the process doesn't matter.

Your grammar sucks ass. This be your first time using interwebs too? It's called google "how to clean brake dust off of wheels and tires" come on man we aren't douchebags but you have to admit you asked a pretty dumb question that didn't require a new thread.

You make a good point... Lol I was at the gym and wanted a quick answer when I got out. So don't just make any random thread for random questions?

No and this is the reason why. This thread is run by us. @Haltech is the mod but it is ran by our donations and a forum of this size takes some serious cash. I understand your reasoning behind it but to make a "useless" thread takes up space for something else that one might consider useful. If you did search and found nothing then google is your best friend. If after that google sucks ass and you are worried if xxx product will work on OUR cars or mazdas specifically, then I would make a new thread.
But in all seriousness, our rims, our rear bumpers, and our exhaust pipes are prone to dirt, grime, and soot. You will go fucking insane trying to keep any o those clean. Best bet is good old fashioned soap and hot water once a week or so and follow it up with a bit of wax to help from embedding in the paint and be done with it. No special cleaners or anything needed. Besides, cause RACECAR.

I urinate on my wheels to clean them. Works with hoes, too.

Soap and water. No need to go to the gym anymore as your new workout is frequent, methodical cleaning.

Stingray69 10-21-2012 06:18 PM

I use a car wash. It also works very well on the car.

Speed3x 10-21-2012 08:30 PM

Yeah, wanted it to look good for my day back to work tmrw but It was just a bitch cleaning the whole thing. Defiantly will not be doing it often.

Thanks for the pointers.

I run a very organized forum. Not sure why you couldn't post this in the detailing section. Secondly, this is a non specific Mazda question and you could of easily found various answers through google. Don't call my community members douchebags either.

We're a performance forum, therefore everything else is secondary.

Like I said before, I was trying to get a quick answer and thought this would be a cool way since I just downloaded this app to make posting Easier. I have probably spent a total of maybe two hours on this forum, let alone any forum. I now have learned you guys take this stuff very seriously and that I need to watch what I'm doing. Any more information on how this stuff goes would be much appreciated.

Printman 10-21-2012 09:53 PM

I think you learned the hard way. Do not post for awhile but lurk around, read threads, learn about our wonderful cars then you will understand MSF.

You are doing yourself a serious disservice by not reading the wealth of info MSF provides. This is a multi faceted forum that covers everything.

Speed3x 10-22-2012 04:56 AM

I'm sure once I get some money going again and want to do stuff to my ride ill be all over everything but when I do thy and can't afford it, it just pisses me off. Been through a couple of things and this stuff looks great. Especially the pics of everybody's rids. Love the potential these cars have. My speed 3's bone stock and I love it!

AegisKlein 10-22-2012 05:32 AM

Seriously, stop posting for a while, learn some grammar, and proof read!!!!!

You'll never get a serious response when you come off looking illiterate.

Please help yourself here and take my remarks constructively.

Even if you can't afford to mod, you SHOULD ALWAYS be reading up on the future plans you have for your car....I still read more, barely make threads and post rarely. Honestly it's cause mostly everything has been done before I tried. If your not involved in ground breaking products or tuning than search.....the info is available.

Oh and i think you got off easy! You haven't even bothered the REAL douchebags around here. And to answer your question, try soap and water it works I swear.

mirage 10-22-2012 06:02 AM

I use simple green with a wheel brush from griots. It is time consuming to get all the brake dust off but that is mostly my fault for not washing that frequently.

I never said you were "A" mod I said you were "THE" mod. Yes maybe proper admin term would have been the best response but hell I was 12 hours deep into my work shift and couldn't expand my vocabulary. I think I got my damn point across! Now you thank me for my post, damnit!!!

Yeah, I realized real fast that this is not Facebook. Can't just post and receive.

I ended up buying mothers wheel and tire cleaner. It worked great.
