Why can I not find a 2013 MS3? I hate to be the guy to start a new account and ask a stupid question but I honestly cannot find ANYTHING on the internet about this. I have been hardcore researching the MS3 for a while now and am very interesting in possibly purchasing one. I haven't test drove one because I can't find one anywhere. I live in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas...there are a million car dealerships here so it shouldn't be hard to find one..or any car for that matter. What's the deal with this? Have they already stopped shipping these out? Is it still possible to order one new? I have a feeling that there will be no 2014 model and I would really hate to miss the window. Any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated! I would also like to add that I have lost interest in any other hot hatch including the GTI and Focus ST...I have my reasons. The WRX may not completely be out of the question yet...but I really like the idea of the rawness that the MS3 will bring. All of the "cons" people talk about actually make me want the car more (i.e. Torque Steer, Stiff Suspension..etc). Gives the car character IMO. Also like the price with tech pkg vs. WRX... |
Try in the McKinney area? There's a Mazda dealership up here but I don't know anything about their stock. |

Also, no dealership around me even has a filter on there website for the MS3. It's like it just doesn't exist anymore. |
selling off last years models. I saw some in Tyler on yahoo autos |

Couldn't tell you man. I'd suggest giving the used a test drive and go from there. |
I did a search on Auto Trader the other day and I didn't see any new '13 in Texas. 2013 is the last year of production for the speed as we know. I'm not sure if it's possible but you may want to try and ask if they can ship one over to the dealer that's close by to you. Good luck on your search! |

Ya they stopped making them and shipping them. Go to your local dealership and tell them you are interested in buying one with whatever options you want and they should be able to find you one from another dealer and do whats called a dealer trade for it. But this is considering if there is any left in that area. Best of luck, you may want to just look for a used one. |
One of the locals has a friend who works at one of the dealerships. Hiley in S. Arlngton, I think. Maybe he can help. @SpeedEngineer? |
Bought mine at the end of last August. Dealership told me at that time that production had already ceased and stock already in the pipeline was all she wrote. Incentives were good, so I'd expect that if you want a new '13, you're either going to have to drive to get one, or do a dealer transfer. Trust me though...I have a Miata and traded in an RX8 for the Speed, so fun to drive cars are my thing...a test drive would be a formality. You already know what you're in for...anyone here can confirm thaf this car is rowdy as hell. Tech package totally worth it too. Good luck on the search. |

Go VIP and find a Nator member to take you for a ride. And yes, the '13 tech package is definitely worth it. |
Try autotrader and if you don't want to drive far and can afford it have a dealer ship it. I honestly wouldn't mind doing a 3 hour drive to pick it up though because the drive home would let you learn the car. My dealer in Ct still has three Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I just purchased a new '13 and the dealer has 3 left. Jeff Schmitt Mazda |
Try carmax, you should have one pretty close. They can ship one in from any of their stores. That is exactly where I am getting mine. A 2012 with less than 7k on it. |
Just got my 13 a few weeks ago. Went to the dealer told them I wanted black 13 with or without tech. Called me the same night told me they found one without tech. Had it at the dealer by my house within 2 days. Go to a dealer close to you and ask them to look. The dealer that my car originally came from didn't even have it posted on their site. Don't believe the bs some dealers say "we're keeping this car till it sells". Good luck. As for test drive, I drove a friend of mines genone and didn't even test drive my 13. Just picked it up and have been smiling since. |
MS3 We just picked up a black 2012 with 13,000 miles on it for my wife. If you keep searching a good used should show up. Its worth it! |
My sister just traded in her '12 Speed 3 with 18k miles on it as a dealership in Houston a couple months ago. Car was unmolested, she bought it with 1,200 miles and she babied the thing. I could probably find out which dealership if you wanted to see if they still had it |
Im pretty sure hiley in arlington tx has one or two left, was by there the other day and saw them |
This seems to be a common problem everywhere. I was considering upgrading my 2011 to a 2013 and there are none left in Western Canada, had to have one brought in from the East Coast if I was serious about it. The last of the new 2013's went quickly I guess. |
I've seen 2013 with tech with prices from 27 to 29k now. Tapatalkin' |

Dang. I always seem to get interested in a car right when they aren't readily available anymore haha. I wonder why that is.... |
I'm in austin. Spent the first half of January watching the central texas new inventory dwindle before my eyes and just disappear. I ended up buying one out of state - felt the pressure to act now or never get one (I still don't have the mechanical knowledge to trust myself buying a used one of these). With the incentives I was able to buy one w/ tech and have it shipped here for less than the stealership here wanted to sell me a used 2012 w/ out tech. It was also clear that the stealerships knew the the inventory was going away - none of them would work on price and none would do dealer swaps either. But if you are going new, just have it shipped to you - warranty and all that - just do it before they are gone :-) |
I just recently got a 2013 rom Jim Ellis Mazda in Atlanta, it came to $24040 +taxes, title and reg. They were also able to get a non-tech one for $22110 too. This was three weeks ago but they may still be able to help you out. Dealers exchanging cars usually isn't a big deal. |
I bought one of the last new '13's with tech back in October here in Houston for $22,900 + TTL. They were pretty much giving them away to get 'em off the lots. Kinda hard to find one now, but by no means impossible...just call your nearest Mazda dealership and tell them what you want, and they will attempt to find one.. Good luck finding yours! |
Thanks for the helpful advice everyone. Much appreciated! |

I got one of the last ones in my area. The local dealer got 5 in from another dealer in Texas that had a bunch and they all sold within a month and that was back in September. |
I just bought mine 2 nights ago. 2-18-2014 Northetown Mazda had 4 MS3. Two had tech pack. But I am here in Kansas City, be a nice drive back though... My new MS3 LINK: http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...s-city-164874/ |
Well, good news. Got a 2013 w/tech and 12k miles for 22,599 (probably a bit too much really). Didn't want to pass it up at carmax, 5 minutes after I got there someone from Austin tried to get it transferred O_O. Got lucky. Thanks for all the advice everyone! |

Sounds pretty good! Mine from Carmax should be here in the next day or two and is a 2012 with just over 6k on it! Post pictures when you get the beauty. -Brett |

It looks very nice. I really dig the charcoal wheels. -Brett |
congrats! |
Grats...hopefully you got lucky and some mods were still on it. Check for a hpfp, dp, intake, inlet, shifter bushings, rmm... Good luck. |
Thanks everyone! No mods have been done that I can tell...I checked before I made the purchase. I have some plans though O_O...I'll probably drive it for a while before I do anything though. |
That's what we all say.. Tapatalkin' |
