Why I Won't Support This Site

Haltech has made a nice site here. There are people with a lot of knowledge about these cars and this could be a really good source of information. The problem is, this site treats new people like shit. Two nights in a row I have been on the chat forum, and two nights in a row I have been chased off by some e-couragous asshat. The funny thing is, i was having a good time and enjoying a nice conversation. but as soon as some veteran member comes in that decides anyone talking in the chat room actually asking questions about the car, instead of just bullshitting, is a target for harassment. Then, it seems like the people I was enjoying talking with feel pressured to act in kind.

Imagine that. Someone who just bought a MS3 and is a Mazda owner for the first time comes to a forum and has the nerve to ask questions about his car. I thought this forum would be great. it has a chat room so you can ask your noob questions without making posts that everyone will just criticize. In concept, this forum is a good idea. But the members who, for what ever reason, feel that need to epunk people are ruining it. During the chat session I actually got a PM from someone saying, "This is just the way new people are treated". Really? So a person who potentially is willing to give monetary support to this forum has to endure being treated like shit?

Thanks to people like jonspeed.... I will just be lurking for now on. And definitely will not be spending my money here.

Well this is typically how most sites go as far as newbs/brownies, because there 95% of new members never search for the question they are about to ask. And they flood the shit outta this site with redundant questions that have already been asked and answered. And sadly there has been a big push of redundant and ricer questions coming from genpu owners for a couple of months now.

Look buddy, I have been there too. I was a brownie a long time. But I wanted to sell something, and ponied up the $. Yes, I was hated on before, but not but these newbie fucks, OG like philly, lenny, and the crew. Dont judge the forum based on chat, either. I just posted how I had sex with jonspeed's mom. she is apparently DEAD, which is why she didnt say much.

All I can say is that for $25, you get shop manuals, FS thread access, DVD Nav updates, and a metric ton of porn.

Our forum depends on member support. Go to mazda3forums, and you find banners and shit littering that forum and a search function as useful as Marlee Matlin as a tour guide. (wait for it, IMDB, yup, autovorrect..that is her. Yes, she is blind).

And if you really didnt give a fuck (Yes, you can swear here) you would have just logged off and went onto Mazdas247.com and enjoyed the hollow nothingness of performance, and learned about underglow neon installs and chrome eyelids on headlights.

If you want to know more about your MS3, this is the place, and the best thing to do is $25
for full access. Fuck those guys you don't like. There is an IGNORE option, and it is a sticky thread on how to set it up.

If you go to 247, and decide to slap a ton of shit on for mods, you will blow up, as nobody there knows the ins and outs like our members.

Think of it as a Fraternity. You pay the fraternity, you get hazed, you get treated like shit, and one day you become one of the "brothers" and you get to play the game on all the new pledges. Same Concept is used all over the world...military comes to mind. When I was in the Army no matter what I did it was wrong, all of the new guys were treated like shit, and when we graduated suddenly things changed. Same thing when I was in the Border Patrol. This site is candy compared to that stuff...stick it out, it is worth it.

It is really amusing to read the above posts. Only one made any sense. The truth is, what I was asking about was not really too much of a noob question, and I was asking it in the chat room so as not to start a new thread that MAY have been answered before. Let's see... search Corksport sri+tip versus COBB sri and purchasing a TIP, comparisons. You see what comes up.

The real problem is the asshats like the above posters. Really guys... I don't need you to validate my life. I have done more in my life than most of you pimply faced adolescents have done on your PS3's. So, no.. I don't need you to validate me. I don't need you to like me. i would just like to be treated with a little bit of common courtesy and respect. I don't think that is too much to ask. Maybe there should be an adults only forum. I think this place has a lot of potential and I think there are probably a lot of members who feel the same way I do. But the occupy mazdaspeedforums crowd is slowly ruining it for everyone else.
