Default Windshield Replacement Cost

The windshield of my 2011 Genpu took a rock hit, and the crack is running to the point that I will probably need to have it replaced. Since my car is a Tech model (rain sensing wipers), does this require a special, high buck windshield?

Thanks!

Rock auto has the glass for $265 with all the sensors included, which I think you have to replace since they're glued to the window. Install will probably be $200, unless you do it yourself. So yeah it's pretty expensive, I would expect at least $500. Do you have comprehensive insurance?

Last time I had it done (my old MZ3 with rain sensing wipers) it was $550 from the dealer.

I just got my windshield replaced for free because there was a rock chip in the drivers line of sight. But i think thats because i live in SC and it is a law. Plus i have full coverage. If you have full coverage you should ask your insurance company.
