Winter Weather Advisory I'd like to paint or plasti-dip my rims (black.) Has anyone done either and drove them through the winter someplace where it snows? We use rock salt on the roads here in NY and I'm just wondering how paint or plasti-dip may fair on those conditions. I have 18'' Blizzaks I put on my stock rims for the winter as well. Looking for some suggestions/advice. |
...before someone yells at you for not searching or googling this. The answer is yes. plasti-dip is the preferred choice for many people when it comes to protecting their wheels in the winter (polished wheels). Therefore, we can assume it does a great job of holding up in the winter, just depends on the application and the number of coats |
I am a noob but I've searched the forums and everything, theres lots of info on painting and plasti-dip, nothing on how it holds up in northern winters. Thanks. |
yeah plasti-dip should hold up fine through the elements and if it doesn't and starts to peel. just peel it off and start over and your good man |
