I'm a little under a half tank of a 4/9. Maybe I could dump a bottle in, full up with E. Should get me a rather high concentrate of E to test with T6 for a tank before going full E.

Just tapa it in.

Nope, still on that second change of RP, but I'm due for a third. If I can abuse the RP and change at 6 month intervals, I'll probably just stay on it. If not, back to T6 I go.

I know it's a bit too early to say this, but it couldn't hurt.

Interesting. You've got balls man! Since I'm only running 50/50 I don't think I'm gunna run this 1:1 every tank, but might run a bottle every couple weeks or so!

I'm glad to see some of you taking the leap to help test this product. shit, even a BT guy is doing it, I really appreciate it. I don't mind testing everyone's concerns and questions, but it is very time consuming. Having a handful of participants will really speed up the process. Post up with any info you have, I will keep the original post updated with the good info.

Great stuff man.

Once motor and setup is back together, planned on going back to 100% E. Curious how less of this stuff we need rather than 1:1 or w.e you running.

It was said above but, this would be great for 50/50. Sure 100% e85 would be more conventional but not all BT guys can. So if running this with fill ups or every so often would be great for anyone who has had issues on 50/50.

Yeah i kno how your running it.....Was just saying.

Like myself, i hate mixing. Id rather fill up and be on my way with 100% E. And have jmf PI coming in, so ill have enough fuel for e85 on 35r for ~600whp.

Why would it be great for 50/50 when there is no gunk issues? Unless you have like 5000+ miles, then maybe youll see some gunk. My buddy ran 50/50 for 7000+ when it finally started to get black death and was fuel cutting. Other buddy hasnt had a problem 50/50 on his pu for who knows how many miles.

OP, lets get some oil analysis! See if its breaking down the oil. (When you get a chance obv).

A little off topic from the E85 discussion but would this not also serve as a reliable alternative to seafoam for cleaning the fuel system and great for making that transition to your first e85 tune?

Very interesting. Wonder if the fuel additive will cause any more cons. Subbed for future 100% e85 6466

Well, I have finally reached my Goal. I am currently at 1087 miles on full E and Si-1. I grabbed my Turkey baster, pulled an oil sample, and am sending it to Blackstone Labs tomorrow. We can at least find out how the Oil is holding up after coming in contact with this additive.

Fun Things that happened on my trip...

1.) Elevation 6,200 Ft. Car turned off while sitting at a stop light. Well, that what it seemed like. I looked at my Tach it was still hovering at 720 I have never felt my Car Idle/ Run so smooth... Ever. I could not hear anything, complete silence. Someone please explain this.

2.) Cold Start up 30 degrees. ((((Clock Clock Clock Tick tick Clock Clock)))) Fuel Internals Were Sticking. "Oh Fuck!" I said. "Not here, Not now!" Thought that I jinxed myself for making this thread. Get everyone excited then let them down. I take a rough drive down by the casinos trying to figure out what to do, Relief Valve Squeaking like a rat in a cage, running on a wheel that does not go anywhere. I Question if I should get some 91 and Ditch this whole Test since it failed. Or did it?

After a few more miles, my fuel pressure Stabilized. No more squeak and I do not hear my Pump making weird anymore. So I said to myself... "I better get More E!!!" And boy did I, I topped that bitch off. To the Neck! (BTW averaged 27 mpg's on this trip). The Si-1 Cleaned up my sticky internals, Unicorn Jizz? Fuck yes! Drove 200 more miles... Made it home, No problems.

3.) Got Fucking Shit Faced. Lost about 250 bucks to the Card Table. Watched a Magic Show, Fed a goose a Cheeto. (they like cheetos)

1. These cars run incredible on corn. Smoothest ever.
2. After you crank it for 15 seconds to start, it needs heat to run properly; if the additive is keeping the sticky at bay, it may need heat to work as well.
3. Pics.

I tossed in about 40% of a bottle of this Redline SI-1 stuff on half a tank of 3/9. My fuel level sensor still works and thus far on 2 cold starts the 3-4 quick chirps I used to hear from my quad seal or spill valve is no longer present.

This might be a nice maintenance item for those of us using lesser blends. Thanks again @littleloogy; for keeping at it!

(2)that's a great Idea! Maybe even a little block warmer for my fuel pump.

(1) My car idles like shit at 50ft of elevation. I know now that my rough idle is in the Littleloogy Tune... I was in denial, thought it was a hardware issue.

did some research on this unicorn jizz and for the life of me no one has mentioned any adverse effects with oil. now we would be using a good amount more of it in our fuel system and we know fuel likes to get into the oil, so maybe it will be different

maybe you mentioned this before but youre also running redline oil right 10w-30?

edit: bobistheoilguy forum has some good info on this and some people say it might skew the UOA results currently looking to see if it actually affects the oil

I'm not convinced the spill valve is the only culprit for the noise, as the O-ring at the front of the 18mm nut housing is supposed to be our scraper / oil barrier. I haven't checked mine, but the one we pulled from a 06 speed6 was as much plastic as rubber, and it was bloated from 147k miles of just gasoline. @nindoja; ordered a few (100 lol) to replace his, so I'll inspect mine and see if it's starting to show any signs of Eth bloat. (13.5k on my car total)

I've never had fuel pressure issues btw, but I've also never run more than a 4/8 mix on what I expect is E70 winter blend, and I stick with a 3/9 for the other 3 seasons. I did buy a 32mm wrench for spill valve inspection, and I might have at it tomorrow. I spent my whole weekend wrenching on other people's cars, so I'm a bit worn out. (sure was fun though)

Actually, there's two. There is also a secondary plastic scraper backed by an o-ring right next to where the piston collar seats against the retaining nut. It may be difficult to see, but it's there.

@littleloogy; when you say you pulled some oil out to send for a UOA... where did you pull from? Also wanted to see if the oil was hot (being that UOA samples should be pulled mid-stream of a drain). Not trying to nitpick... just curious. Great job so far.

It was ~33F this morning, and again not a single chirp. I got it under load immediately to see if I could instigate, still nothing. Either this shit is cleaning gum, or cleaning gum and leaving some lubricant deposit. I like. This was after passing 6oz in ~8gal through the fuel pump.

I just don't want my fuel level sensor to crap out.

I draw you picture. Its to scale, trust me.

When you pull the drain plug use your thumb to block the fluids from escaping. Then insert the modified turkey baster into hole in place of your thumb so it seals on the block. Try to angle the tip a few degrees up so air can work its way out. Then go squish squish squish until all the air escapes from the baster's cylinder and you are left with oils. Then take your baster out, insert thumb, then insert plug. I lost about 2 oz of oil to the ground during the process.

Edit: And burnt my thumb a bit, I need wear gloves next time.

Since @Enki; bought up all the redline at my nearby O'Reilly... They had a couple others that have "fixes ethanol issues" all over them as well. Was thinking of giving the Lucas ethanol cleaner a shot.

Just tapa it in.

@littleloogy;

Here is another one that you may want to see if either you or someone else would be willing to try:

http://barsproducts.com/system/pdfs/...pdf?1377277354
Ethanol Fuel Treatment (p/n 4774) | Products | Bar's Leaks & Rislone - Premium Automotive Chemicals

I do not run E85, but thought I might be able to throw this out there for you guys to look into.

Jason

I'm throwing down on some E85 on T6 (beyond oil change interval) with a different additive with mostly the same claims.

Just tapa it in.

I'm on straight E85 and I went with a different additive due to availability of the redline.

Just tapa it in.

Very nice man! I love me some corn, and run a 4 gal mix for the track, but don't DD on it since I'd fill up every other day with all the driving I do.
