In the past, gearheads were nominated by other gear heads. I don't see that as the only possible way, because the gearheads cannot frequent every thread on the forum to keep up with certain people. My suggestion is to start a nomination thread, because randomly suggesting it in a post will get lost quickly.

Tag @Raider; to let him know about the potentials and the ensuing discussion, because he is likely the only one who can actually make changes to the group in the absence of Haltech. Tag the other gearheads, because I think they should weigh in. Cite work (link threads) accomplished and state why you think they are deserving of the gearhead title. There is a thread in a separate part of the forum that has these outlines for gearheads:

Your doing it wrong. It takes months for them to forclose then once they do you can just break in and continue living in the house for months or even years while they try to sell it.

Anyway back to my next project that I will be working on this year.

I have always had problems with fuel and E85. I like to push my K04 at 20 psi all the way to redline. The problem with this is I always seem to run out of fuel at about 5300 RPMs. Some of you have told me it's spark blowout, others have said that the problem is the HPFP. I personally think that the injectors are taxing out.
So, I decided to try to tackle a project that will benefit everyone. I am going to take my injectors and open them up. @Enki; suggests that I shoot for a 30% increase for people running E85. Though that would be nice, I am going to take things slow and not push it.
I opened up a wanted to buy add in the classified for some broken/used injectors and not one person has tried to help out. Kind of the same boat with the last project I did with the HPFP. So naturally I had to buy more expensive injectors that actually work so I can break them. So whatever.

Also, I sourced a laser welding shop to seal the injectors back up after mods are complete (if they need be opened up at all)

IIRC, wasn't it PTPJohn (spits...) that farted around with just enlarging the injector opening? Also, IIRC, it was determined that changes, as he was making them, only resulted in bad things happening to the spray pattern and essentially a total loss of any decent atomization.

I'll search around some if I get time today and see if I can find those old threads unless somebody else beats me to it or more relevant info comes up instead
