| Not Ranked : 0 score Now, to be clear, I'm not running the HTP intake, but I do run the AEM on my Cobb intake which has just a lip about 0.75" deep to attach the filter with, no bead or anything. Since the HTP has a bead, and there's no air pressure or anything pushing against it, what's causing it to come off? Seems like (guessing here!) it would have to be not on far enough to have the bead on the other side of the clamp, or it's vibrating so bad that the filter is being shaken off. Or both... I dunno. I know you know how to turn a wrench Boosten!! Curious to see what's decided

| Not Ranked : 0 score It doesn't go on far enough cause the lip you said ^^^ the clamp slips off the filter if I clamp it where it should be or if I clamp it on the other side the whole filter slips off. If I clamp it on the bead then the vibes makes it come loose. Maybe heating it up to get it a little tacky? My friend suggested I try degreaser to take the oil film off. I'm using my pepboys special for now till I figure something out.

| Not Ranked : 0 score IMO a bead roll is not needed on an intake at least for the filter side as air is being sucked in. No boost is going threw it. The turbo side yes cuz there is no support braket for the intake. Don't get me wrong I love the intake but the stupid filter. Lol

For those of you that have a MS6 with our full 3" intake with the stock battery, we had a MS6 in today to figure out the problem and solution. The problem turns out to be nothing other than me screwing up and not realizing that our test car had a replacement battery that didn't represent the size of the stock battery. This led us to advertise that it fit the MS6 when it in fact does not fit without modifying or moving the stock tray. I worked on a solution today that will move your battery back while securely mounting your stock tray. We will be sending out the fix to those that we know have a MS6, and once the fix is verified, will be including it with the intakes for the MS6. I apologize for the problems you guys incurred trying to make this fit. I will post up some pics of the fix once I refine it tomorrow. Thanks Matt | |||||

| Not Ranked : 0 score Given the option, I'd pick the 3.5" The K04 is only gonna flow what it can, so anything you can do to make it's life easier is gonna help. Being sure that it's never ever starved for air flow is a good start, and a fat solid wall of air is a good thing.

So, anyway, I got my custom version of the HTP due to the fact that that I've got a nonstandard Steeedspeed turbo manifold. It is hitting my CPE hot pipe. But, I believe the problem is that it is now too long. If I have HTP shorten it again, it'll fit fine. And, probably the regular version will already fit with the CPE. I think that when I had mine elongated, I had it elongated too much. At any rate, for pictures, see here: My 3.5" intake isn't long enough for my Steedspeed manifold
