Why thank you sir! Things got a little side tracked, but keep an eye out, we should have some projects finished up and into some test vehicles very soon.

Good things, just sit back and watch. I'm sure they will divulge the necessary info when all the necessities are in place.

We have a few Mazdaspeed3/6 parts in the works.

We have recently been working with Wiseco to design an MZR DISI specific piston. The first sets were made this past week:

silvapain - I stole your picture!

We are continuing work with Wiseco to bring more compression ratios in different bore sizes to the market. We will be seeing a few engines up and running with these in the next couple months. High compression direct injection is going to be a BLAST!

edit....

yes I have a mega build going on right now... will be done by sept 22nd..

if you are indeed looking for beta testers or whatever i'd be happy to help.

the pistons are a good start and I hope even if I can't get a beta tester discount I could still maybe get a set...

We are continuing work with Wiseco to bring more compression ratios in different bore sizes to the market. We will be seeing a few engines up and running with these in the next couple months. High compression direct injection is going to be a BLAST!

That is either the 10.5:1 or 11:1 piston, I'm not sure off hand. We have some higher and lower compression pistons in the works, as well!

Some general info about the pistons:

2618 Alloy
Anti Detonation and Pressure seal grooves
22.5mm Pins (currently the only option, but we may move forward with 22mm pins IF there is interest)
ArmorGlide Coating
Wrist pins and rings included

Standard bore or .020" over bore available
SpeedSixxx likes this.

I know this feeling.

I have a titanium connecting rod hanging in my garage. It's purely decoration.

Ok, I had changed the rules for vendors on collecting funds prior to having stock on hand. This was because of certain vendors who were using pre orders to fund their projects.

I need to modify the verbiage on this because engine parts such as pistons come in many configurations.

PF is ok to setup orders for the pistons and collect funds before the orders are ready for shipping since these are custom configurations.

Thanks, Kevin.

Just to expound on that a bit, the lead time on these can be significant. The initial design process must be completed for each compression ratio at each bore size, then we have to get Wiseco to work them into a production run.

Obviously, though, the lead time will be reduced once a design is finalized. We are already working on what we think will be the common CR's and bore sizes, to aid in this process. Please PM for more information about specific configurations, and we can give you more information

These are low production, custom runs, right now, but we plan to stock the popular options in the future!

This design seems to be more and more accepted as an excellent DI piston design. I don't question for a second that both companies develop it concurrently and separately. We don't live in a vacuum here. Hell, weisco has experience making pistons for EVERYTHING, I'm sure they had tons of input on the actual piston shape, while Positive Fabrications chose the CR and diameter.

The point is they weren't invented for our car, but we're grateful they've been modified for our application.
