Took 6 hours from the time the first tool touched the car to the last. Also installed clear lenses in the projector. I'll have to get a night shot of that to show the cutoff.

I sealed the headlight with outdoor rated silicone sealant.

Nismo sells, there oem sealent(same shit all manufactures use) for about 20 bucks.. way better then silicone.

I like the look of the painted surround, but I honestly can't see changing the lens to make the light even brighter. I have 35w HIDs now, and people flash their lights at me as it is sometimes. I can't imagine how it would be with 55w or a clear lens. There comes a time when you get past the point of the lights being helpful to you, and you're just being an asshole to other drivers.

Really? I have 35w HIDs and never had someone flash their lights at me. The first night I drove with them I noticed they were aimed way too high; I felt like I was blinding everyone. The next night I aimed them correctly using the guide in the shop manual. Are you sure yours aren't aimed too high? The cutoff on mine are far below people's line of vision, as they should be.

To the OP: the headlight housings look fantastic. The blue almost looks like anodized aluminum.

I aimed mine correctly, but going up and down hills can aim them at people for a brief time. I'm pretty sure that nobody has flashed the lights at me much when I'm driving on level ground, but there are a lot of hills, bumps, and dips here, so that's always going to be something that I have to think about.

I didn't think about the fact that the 2011+ cars w tech package have the AFS lights with auto leveling, which is supposed to help with that problem. OP may not have that issue since he has those lights.
