JSpec LED taillights & my own customized 3rd brakelight .
 

i love them, love the look much more than the stocks...totally blend now with the hatch area parts. I traded the amber turn signal bulbs out though for the clears that were in my old ones....so the frosted turn signal areas now match the front clear turns i have. I also finally took pics of what i did to my 3rd brake light up in the spoiler. I'll take some daytime pics tomorrow for a better and more clear view.

since you dont have your location posted, this comment is useless. Im assuming you are in canada? US models dont get HID's or LED's for 2010.

The 2010 Canadian MS3 has LED tails but the extra price of the car (32k before tax) is not worth it.

Not yet, but I'd bet that a GT version will come out soon enough.

its not a matter of "coming out". other countries have the additional option, but not US.

Coming out here, in the bestest country of ObamaNation. It just seems like they wanted to delay the GT here for sales reasons.

I'd love to see a sport version here - for a little over 20k it's 10k less than what I was forced to pay for the only version we have.

The current version of the 2010 IS the sport.

From what I have heard (and PiKA West can back me up with where he works too ;) there will probably not be a 2010 GT version for the US.

yea, my one complaint is that mazda eliminated indivualizing the cars by not offering options separately, i dug some tech package features, but didnt want all of it. The kicker is seeing what they DO offer in other countries as either stock or option. They'd have done much better to make standard pick and choose options....and ultimately gotten more money out of people most likely. The whole "all or nothing" pitch didnt work for me.

It's becoming pretty common with all manufacturers here.

Yeah I'm the same as you, where I prefer to customize the car and pick and choose what I want. Mazda finally went the "combined" way of Honda who has been doing it to a point for years with their cars.

From a business point of view it makes the most sense. The reason they are selling these things like hotcakes is because there are only four colors and two choices. Tech or no Tech. That way they ALWAYS have the car you want in stock and there is very little dealer trading or ordering.

Frustrating for you and me in the short run but just try and think if it like, the more they sell- the more popular and bigger following it will have. =)

i should add though, on the plus side, for me at least, in some respects, buying just the base car is ok...i'm gonna change it all up anyhow. LOL

In Canada you get 1 car. NO OPTIONS. Period. Take it or leave it:

damn and with current exchange rate, that's damned near the price in US dollars...eek. i wonder if people just hop the boarder and buy a us spec one and take it back to canada.

Some people do. The only perks to buying in Canada is higher resale values here, and 0% interest financing. You have to go through a bank to finance in the US.

Some manufacturers also stopped honoring warranty for cars bought in the US.

For what I paid for mine, it could have been an STI or EVO X in the states :)

just one question, are the turn signals color amber or red

they came with amber bulbs, but i swapped them out with the clear ones that happened to be in the stock ones for the turn signals.

Here in Sweden the 2010 is in just one version a think, MPS version (GT version) with all the options standard, Bi xenon/HID,LED taillights. navi, Keyless, BOSE, bluetooth mobil/audio/mp3, reverse warning radar, tire pressure monitor, etc etc.. cost about in us dollars:3978$

The difference between the tail- and headlights (US-Spec, European) is funny.
Our taillights are totaly blended already (standard), but we have this stupid red element on the left side (fog-lamp), where your left rwd-lamp sits.

In the front lights the Tech-Package Version in Europe is totaly blended as well (no orange eye-lid)....

Dan K are u from germany? u know its very popular here in sweden to come over to germany and buy used cars, maybe 1-2 years old ones HUGE different in prices it can be. :)
But i agree nice price at the 2010 now! want that one a link to.. must test drive it...the dealer says that its have a 3" sport exhaust and Eibach Prokit springs on it already...

yea, all the suble differences have to make you wonder....i totally dig the euro headlights....that dont have any amber in them....instead the clear reflector area. That's why when i had my headlights apart i modded the amber area....still a little there, but if i could get ahold of a set of the front light clear "eyelids" as you called them, that'd be so cool. I need a euro hookup to find out about a set or find some from a salvage yard or something. hehehe. do the canadian models have the clear reflective eyelids in the front light housings?

Where'd ya pick up white bulbs for the front/rear turn signals? The amber needs to GO! That and those awful mirror lights!!
