The lines of the car demand it. Look at all the lines on the scoop, hood, lights, fender.. they're all going up and away. The "smile" is the only thing that works with the lines, whether it be OEM, subtle and more angular like this kit, or have fucking braces and buckteeth, it doesn't matter. It's the origin of all the lines on the car. Without it, all the other lines on the car look misplaced. Put a square or a frown or whatever else on the front of this car and it'll look fucking retarded.
If people don't like the look of the "smile", or the pu in general, then don't buy one. Pretty simple. I personally love how the lines of the car work from factory.
