It's really not that bad of an ET for a stock turbo 4; sadly, I've seen stock MS3s in the low 15s from dragtimes.com, ugh.

More displacement but not more power, the car dyno'd 245whp and 245wtq bone stock. And those times were with street tires and a crappy trans.

The 91 z28 with the 350 tpi was rated at 245 bhp, mine just so happened to put that down to the wheels. And I typoed on the wtq, it should have read 345. And it also weighed a bit more than the ST weighs, not alot but about a hundred or so lbs. We are talking about a 20+ yr old car vs a brand new car. The third gen camaros were not know to run 13s stock, 14s and 15s were the norm.
My point was with a car that has the power the ST has and the tech it has it should have trapped more than 97 mph, and the fact that he spun alot should have led to a much higher trap but he only did 97mph. So imagine if he hooks, he won't even trap 95.

Thats whats up. Thats the steeda here in valdosta along with the track right down the road. Dude driving drives a 9 sec stang street car around town. They will be pushing out some power soon enough i would imagine.

That's right around where I expected the ST to be. A better driver should be able to get the ET down slightly, but I have a feeling the trap speed is dead on.

All of these companies are going to be behind the curve because they have no where near the experience with DI turboed engines as someone like Cobb for example. The only issue Cobb could have is penetrating the market. However, if they have a good marketing guy, they shouldn't have too much troubles there.

Cobb is still a year away from tuning foci! I talked to them personally,
Focus power and fswerks are the biggest tuners in the focus world!
I think fswerks has one up on everyone they have tuned and built turbo kits intakes exhaust suspension parts and more for the duratec motor since 2003 2004 when the duratec motor was introduced from Ford!
I've been in the focus world since 2005
And have purchased my parts from these companies

This isn't the old focus... this is a brand new platform. FSwerks has been building and tuning PI durtec engines.... this is a whole new ball game. The new 2.0 (both N/A and turboed) employ a DI fuel system. Which no focus has previously used.... however, this new Focus fueling system looks remarkably similar to the MS3... which Cobb just so happens to have a little experience in.

This is also the first turbo charged Focus from the factory. That means ECU complexity that FSwerks has never even heard of. STC has made a tuning solution (most likely the software fswerks tunes with) for every previous model focus... yet they haven't even released the software for the 2012 NA focus. They keep stringing everyone along telling them this is a very complicated ECU and they are still working things out.

Which would you rather have.. a complany who is familiar with building tuner turbo kits for port injected cars... or a industry leading company who specializes in factory turbo charged cars with direct injected fueling systems.

Maybe you should do a little research before handing out such advice.

Focus power and fswerks are the biggest tuners in the focus world!
I think fswerks has one up on everyone they have tuned and built turbo kits intakes exhaust suspension parts and more for the duratec motor since 2003 2004 when the duratec motor was introduced from Ford!
I've been in the focus world since 2005
And have purchased my parts from these companies

FYI I know Cobb is a good company but who has more experience tuning foci not Cobb
I love Cobb for my ms3 but I'd go to fswerks over Cobb for my focus any day

I'm not trying to get in a typing argument
I think the focus companies will be just fine with the new focus
All these tuners have experience with tuning focus from Europe that come factory turbo
The focus has been a pussy car in the US for years
But in Europe no sir factory turbos for days
