I just noticed this thing is good up to ~45 psi? LOL.

It's a 4 Bar map sensor - so 40 psi :) That should cover most people however unless you're driving a diesel truck.

I definitely want one! This is sweet, it would put my mind at ease.

I am currently having a heck of a time with overboosting that the dealer is blaming on my Forge . . . funny thing is that I only overboost when I am running stock tune (AP uninstalled for dealer visit).

TBH I dont think he has many if any left. Its more of a GI. I know I tried to get in on one and unsure if I 100% am...and I was one of the first to respond. lol

My pos hks failed me at just the right time for this.

@Lex why don't these work with the HKS? I must have missed the knowledge train.

Not that is matters, but doesn't 4 bar = 58 psi?

Don't forget that 1 bar is atmospheric pressure, so it measures 3 bar of boost.

IIRC HKS is a "push" type BPV so it needs PSI to actually open the valve. GA works with pull type valves that when boost is removed from the top of the valve it opens. I may have that term exactly backward :) The only thing GA can currently do is block the boost signal from the top of the BPV thus allowing the boost in the charge pipe to force the valve open.

Don't add me to the list since I have 2 months before getting my car once I leave afcrackistan.

However, once I start doing my mods this is something I would love to have from day 1, along with a damn occ.

Thanks for the great interest guys. 30 more are on the way. I will have a lot more info + feedback from the initial group while the next batch is being made. I have been out of town the last few days so this is why I haven't been around much.

Dano explained it correctly above. The HKS is designed so that boost in the charge pipe seals the valve. The GA needs the BPV to relieve the charge pipe pressure while there is pressure in that charge pipe. Since the HKS type valves are sealed by boost alone, the GA can't open these while pressurized. You may also notice that with an HKS you might get a bit more compressor surge due to their design.

I get a lot of surge with my hks.

Yeah, that's the shortcoming of that design and why it's not used in OEM applications.

I think it's exaggerated with bt and part throttle aswell.

Thats why I got rid of mine... Ive always had some surge with it but lately after installing my ets tm it got ridiculous.
