Genuine question, is this like a Go Fast Bits Turbo Fuse? Or what is the differance between the two?

Their device is a mechanical device (ours is electronic) that doesn't have a precise trigger setpoint, external trigger, driver warning, or VTA feature for the BPV.

I just got the Snow Safeinject from my favorite ginger, @gingermike;

I will be wiring this thing up next weekend(hopefully). The safeinject sends out a 12v signal when it detects flow rate drops below a preset point. I have a toggle switch override on the pump so i can simulate a "low flow" event and see how long it takes for the safeinject to react and then the GA to react on top of that and pop the valve.

this should be fun :)

I think that completes the full safety circle at that point. aaaand next month my motor will just blow for no reason whatsoever.

Which version do you have of the SafeInjection? I was under the impression it triggered a ground instead of a 12V. With a 12V trigger it will definitely set off the GA.

If it has just a ground trigger, can't you put a relay in and convert it to a 12v trigger?

Yes this is the simplest solution.

if it has a ground trigger, yeah, i'll do a relay to switch it.
oh how I love relays and more wiring in the car.... :/

Thanks guys. :)

Can anyone outline how to wire a relay to take a +0.5V trigger and convert it into a +12V signal the GA can handle?

theurgy 02-20-2014 02:46 PM

0.5V or 5V?

Here's some good info for you:

I will try and do a simple diagram.

You want a single pole, single throw relay.
