Guardian Angel Install

Hey guys,

I have been fortunate enough to receive a Guardian Angel unit from Lex of Stratified. After doing a big turbo build with a GTX 3076 I wanted something that would give me a piece of mind from the famous zoom zoom boom.

When I received the unit I was very impressed about the detail of work that went into it and was more than pleased to install it into my speed 3.

The unit was installed on the fuse box cover right beside my meth controller since I knew it would be the best place for the install since Ive had good success with my meth controller being installed in that location for the past year.

It was very to install the power to the unit since there was only three wires for the actual install. The power was tapped into #12 of the fuse panel and the ground wire was connected to the chassis. Since I am not running safe injection monitor unit for the meth controller. The blue wire for the unit was not used but stored in a safe location. As for the installation of the warning indicator I decided to mount it on the right side if the steering wheel right beside the dsc control button. The vacum line was then installed from the engine into to the GA and then out from the GA to the Forge bpv.

After the installation, it was time to take the speed for a drive and test the unit out. Prior to the drive I set the boost detection to 10 psi. During the test drive, I did three consecutive wot pulls and each time the GA turned to cut the boost making the car to lose some power in a soothing way.

On the way back home after the testing of the unit I noticed the warning light turn on while on partial throttle and while off the throttle. I sent Lex an email to let him know what was happening with the unit and Lex told me that the problem might be a possible loose connection. After exmamining the wires, I noticed the connector for the ground wire was loose and I decided to replace it with a new one and that solved the power problem.

If you want a piece of mind for safety for your ride. I highly recommend the Guardian Angel.

One LED for Meth and the other for the guardian? However, does the LED just stay solid when the car is on.?

The GA LED comes on for 2 seconds when it powers on to let you know it's still alive (when you turn on the car). It will only come on when the GA is tripped otherwise.

Yes, as long as your meth controller outputs a signal when the meth runs out.

So Lex the guy recommends that we should get one..... Oh how I WISH I could take his advice, but when will that be???? As soon as you say "GO" money will be sent as I refuse to install a DP with this Hypertech tune without my Guardian Angel watching over me

I expect 2-3 weeks before units from next batch are ready for delivery.

Common dude i know you can do a better review than that, with maybe a video etc,
