Ok Ladies and Gentlemen, here's how things will happen.

I have decided to go with SpeedForceRacing for the Dyno shop. They have DynoDynamics 600 2WD machine and will give out or email out printouts.

7945 Mission Gorge Rd, Santee, CA

I was able to secure a $150 USD rate for dyno tuning and I give priority to the dyno tunes.
The times will be 9-5 so that is a total of 8 hours for tuning.

There is a half hour between unloading one car and loading another.

That means that realistically there is probably 6 hours of tuning but they are willing to stay a little later.

8 cars per day is not doable in this timeframe.

I told the shop that I can rent the dyno Fri - Sun (so 3 days) if enough people can make Friday.

Remember that each tune is a little different and can take longer than expected. So if that is the ONLY day you can make, make sure you sign up early. The spots are filled on a first come first serve basis based on the 1 hour deposit being paid.



So for everyone that is tuning, I will collect 1 hour's worth right now and you can pay the balance in person if we go over the 1 hour in CASH. Expect an E85 tune for a K04 to take 1-2 hours, a 91 tune at least 2 hrs, BT tunes may take longer depending on issues.

Make sure you car has no air leaks or issues prior to showing up at the dyno!!!



I am also booking 6 cars per day for tunes.

So, everyone that has filled out the forms above, please fill out the forms below with the day you can make. First come first serve. If you are filling out your name you are committed to at least 1 hour of tuning.

IF there is any time left during any day, we will do 3 pulls but otherwise the tunes take precedence and this is why I am only signing people up for tunes currently.

For the first people of the day be there 20 minutes BEFORE 9am. For later people, you will be put on when your turn comes so plan accordingly as this can shift around.

Lol, tell the Dyno Shop that 1997 called and wants its website back... Yeesh. I can't determine if 600 dyno is Speed6 (AWD) compatible or not. It says 'Non Viscous Type' four wheel drive. Might want to clarify that if you have any Speed6's signing up for tuning.

I'll be there to finally meet Lex in person and just hang out.

@Lex; according to there website (Speed Force Racing utilizes a Dyno Dynamics Model 850 2WD load based chassis dyno) did they change to a model 600? @dale_gribble; this is directly from there website

I'll swing up there for part of the day. Not sure If i'll bring the speed for pulls unless I know I'll get dyno time. Also, very confused about the dyno situation. 100% not interested if its a dyno dynamics.

Would it help if i swing by there thur and get a picture of the actual dyno and maybe model number?

I dont know the differences between dynos but pics would probably help people out. Cant make it down there until thur though because they close before i get off work.

There is pictures on there website. Shows it to be an inground chassis dyno 2wd, but I'm trying to confirm if they changed to a 600 or it's still an 850 like there website states

I think the website is outdated then, when i drove by the other day there was an EVO getting dynoed and it looked to be above ground. The shop is pretty big size though, they might have two setups. I will swing by and take video confirmation for you guys.

And will the dyno make a difference in tune or are u talking about it effecting numbers?

It can make a difference in both actually, and how well they will hold traction for the BT guys and people on e85 K04 cars. We had issues with the April Dyno day for traction and it was a Dynodynamics 600

Owner said it's a 600 when I spoke with him today.

The AWD dyno is a different rental with a different rental rate and it's a Mustang.
@chomorro; if you could swing by Thu, get some pics, talk to the owner as discussed that would be great.

Ok, so Speed3's only. Speed6's can only participate if they want to disconnect rear driveshaft for the Nov 8-10th event. Def good to clarify. You may want to put up in OP.

I was able to just speak with one of there employees on the phone, the website is misprinted and the dyno is actually a Dynodynamics 600 not the 850 as the site states.

We may be able to rent the AWD dyno as well but the rate will be different and it all depends on if there is time available. I am waiting for the tuning slots to fill, then going to see if we have room for pulls (Russell, I image you want just pulls) and if there is room/time I can discuss with the owner about the AWD dyno.

I should do a tour - it will be especially enticing if you guys book a dyno and I just come in and tune :)

Ya, just looking for a few pulls post meth injection.

I dont like the dyno dynamics because you load the car as the dyno holds the car back. for me to spray my nitrous i have to wait for the dyno to release the car and then manually turn the nitrous kit on at the start of the pull. it doesnt work well for nitrous cars, the trq reading is wrong and if you spray too early you can go ZZB. Even though my car survived the day I wont be using that again. thats my boosting nitrous 2 cents.

I plan on installing a bnr s3 and water meth once I get enough saved up. How much would an additonal map cost for when i get the bnr s3 and water meth installed, if I were to get a tune from this dyno day?

Thats a good question because I have a meth kit coming in november I think they haven't shipped it yet lol and idk if it will be installed in time so a retune would be great after the initial dyno tune.

I'm pretty sure big turbo setups require a whole new tune so you're probably looking at full price for a tune if I had to guess.

From what I have read on stratified's website, top up tunes are $65 I believe.

Top up remote tunes meant for small modification changes like an intercooler or WMI are $65 for a week.

A big turbo tune is a brand new tune from scratch, starts at $300 for 5 weeks for a single map.

I work in SD, so Santee isn't too far to stop by. I would LOVE to get my truck dyno'd. I may just bring it by on Fri at lunch time and see if I can't sneak in a few pulls between your tunes. Thing should be good for 450WHP/500TQ, maybe more.

Attached are the pics i went and took on thur. The lot behind the shop looks to have a lot of space for a easy up and chairs and whats nots if people bring their own. The back road behind the shop is pretty much completely empty for people to park.



He said he will move the cars on the lifts out fo there and the ramps for the four wheel dyno will be gone so there will be seating space.



He also said he would do a boost leak test for me for $25 day of, if anyone needs it done. I might do it ahead of time so i can fix what ever needs to be fixed.



Anyways wasnt sure what to take pics of so i i just around. His NSX is just sitting on the dyno for parking in the pics.

Pretty packed shop, seems to keep himself busy, plenty of parking room it looks like. That awd sure does look nice, and looks to be a dynojet ;)

The AWD is a Mustang. I inquired about it and it is twice the price of the DJ to rent.
