The shop owner printed out the wrong sheet unfortunately so this is what I have. It's hard to see it but it says 288hp/301tq. I also took a WOT log and got 330hp/363tq on the vdyno. I will take more logs overtime to see how much the vdyno numbers fluctuate. Thanks again Lex, it was an absolute pleasure.

I have 320whp in my notes - they may not have printed out the correct sheet for you.

It's as much timing and boost as the motor would take without knock and running over 100% injector duty. I have a feeling that steedspeed is holding you back a bit in terms of flow judging by how the torque curve drops off at the same boost level .

I know a lot of you are disappointed seeing such low numbers but that doesn't make your cars any slower. The key here was to replicate real world conditions and the way the mustang loads the car does this quite well. Our low numbers are also influenced by the fact that we had all 4 wheels spinning adding to drag. Also remember that every mustang dyno can be configured by the operator to read as they desire. It's not inertia based like a Dynojet so you will see a disparity not only between Dynojet and Mustang but also between different Mustang dynos themselves.

Every car was taken to the maximum that it could achieve using the fuel and modifications installed and while you can't compare the numbers to those obtained on a different dyno, you can certainly compare them amongst the people that dynoed over the weekend and most importantly compare them to the first run of the day and final run. Everyone walked away with a nice power gain and that's what matters along with a tune that also addresses safety and driveability.

Yea I agree I wasn't there for numbers I was there for a tune. Numbers would ne nice tho.... lol. But my butt dyno had me at 500hp so im happy lol jk.

On the dyno we were using this weekend and its calibration, no matter what you did to a K04 car it would not come even close to making 330whp. That dyno in AZ was clearly configured to read differently.

i have to hold the wheel HARD...have some torque steer in 4th...3rd is useless....

tires are decent...suspension is good...mounts are new and stiff....

why we mod high HP fwd cars...is beyond me...but i luv it!

I agree with you Lex. When we had our nator az dyno day earlier this year it was on a Mustang dyno we I was the only bt speed 3. All other cars were k04 and we only had 1 speed that was under 300whp everyone else was over and I hit 420/410 with my setup. I felt this dyno was reading high for a Mustang as well.

This is the problem when the dyno allows the operator to configure the loading and the calibration. Yes, you can devise tests a little better but it certainly opens the door to misuse. I completely understand why the inertia based DynoJet remains the standard measuring stick when talking about dyno numbers on the internet. They don't allow any configuration of the dyno and you are always accelerating the same drum with no eddy current brakes. For actual tuning you do want loading, but for pulls to post online, go to a Dynojet.

Have you done any tuning on a Maha dyno? They are German dyno's and fully loaded with features that a Mustang or dyno jet do not offer.

Maha, have not. I've tuned on Dyno Dynamics, Dynojet, Mustang, and Dynapack.

I have been on many different mustang dynos and no 2 will read the same. So you what you need to take away is how the car is performing, and before/after gains.

Mustang dyno's are very good to tune on. I'm sure anybody that had their car tuned can feel the difference of before and after Alex tuned it.

You could let it all smoke out.

I took my cats out, soaked them in dish soap and water for a few hours, and then hosed them out in the opposite direction for 10 minutes and let them drip dry.

Sent via blown passenger side speakers.
