1 Attachment(s) @Lex; am I doing it right? |

Recieved and installed. Stay tuned for review. |
2 Attachment(s) Only drove around the block. Definitely a different feel. Will need to put my stock knob back to compare. Attachment 178252 Attachment 178253 |
3 Attachment(s) Received it yesterday at work and installed it after work, took a while to get the set screw just right but once I did it lined up well. A suggestion is to only install the first screw first and get it to where it just stops the extension from going fully on. Then take it off, and move it more into the shaft and then install the second screw. You will then want to get it to where you put it on and it can tighten around the shifter once to where the leather boot helps create a good contact point. If not, and just use the set screw, you will be driving and it will unscrew with ease. I use a Cobb knob and had to take it off and on a couple times to get it how I liked it. Initial drive home was different, shifts were a tad longer, but to me smoother. Almost makes it easier to shift through the gears as there is more leverage. I am planning on getting a shifter replacement around Christmas. Either a CorkSport or a JBR when he releases one to help shorten the actual shift and will see how that goes. If you are on the fence about this, I say go for it. It is different than most people, and is fun to drive! |
Did you guys opt for the expediated mail? I'm still waiting and since I didn't upgrade, I don't get tracking information :( |
Thanks for the reviews guys! All the pre orders were shipped at once so they should be arriving this week. |
I opted for expedited shipping but didn't order till last Friday, I received tracking info same day but since Monday was a holiday for both Canada and US I didn't get any updates till Tuesday. Tracking says I should have it by this Saturday, that's fast when you think about there being a weekend, a Holiday and it has to go from Canada to Houston Texas. Can't wait to get it and install it. I do have one question for @Lex; is a signature required for delivery? I wont be home till late Saturday and want to make sure I don't miss it. |

No signature needed. |

Nope. Received yesterday. |
Got it yesterday! Initial impressions are good. Shifts seem to go in a lot smoother, basically eliminates the "notchiness" of the stock shifter. I am amazed at how much of a difference in the shift feel it made. Overall extremely satisfied with the quality and the actual difference it made in shifting feel. Also this is the only modification I have as far as shifter things, I would imagine it being even better with shifter bushings. Thanks Lex/Stratified. |
I received mine yesterday and installed today. I think I will seek a lighter shift knob as the one I have is like 500g but I'm EXTREMELY pleased with the new shifting experience. The shifts are MUCH smoother and the knob is a quick grab right off the steering wheel, not the reach-shouldertense-snatch like it was before. I'm also using this in combo with a SSP so that makes the throw pretty good, although the increased length of the shifter offers a bit more movement of the knob forward-aft and side-side. My only gripe is the set screws would not stay in place and both of them would turn with each other so after about 50 tries of taking the extension on and off, I just screwed them in about where I liked and twisted the extension the fuck on until it was straight. My phone cam sucks but here's the best I got. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...psace8632f.jpg |
Yeah shipping from Canada blows. Ordered on the 3rd, got shipping info on the 6th, Supposed to be here on the 11th. I havent seen any new shipping details since the 10th. It is now the 16th and I'm wondering where my parts are. This isn't stratified's fault by any means, but I'm definitely not happy with canada right now... |

Alright new info for people waiting on up to date tracking info. Find your tracking number for the Canadian company and plug it into the www.usps.com tracking service. They had complete up to date info on my shipment. It's actually on a truck to be delivered today. I'll post photos and review later. Thanks Lex for mentioning usps earlier. Made me want to check if the tracking was the same. |

Mine still isn't here. Damn Canadian shipping and USPS sucking each other off all day. |
1 Attachment(s) Android=sideways picture |
I think Lex shipped mine via Fred the "special" moose. |
I'm still waiting on mine too. But I have quite possibly the worst USPS branch in the country. I literally had some electronics or something I ordered Internationally to be delivered by my local branch. The were in town < 2 days later and it took a week and a half to get to me. I went in everyday asking for it and the people that couldn't pass a 2nd grade vocabulary test working behind the counter, would tell me it was on the truck for delivery. |
I think Fred might be missing a leg or two as well, just took 2 days to get from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Why is it even still on that coast, damn usps failing as usual. |
Ha ha at you guys. Come Tuesday I will have had mine for a week. I would have had it Monday if it hadn't been Columbus Day. |
Got mine today, it came wrapped in green tape and a note from the government. I'll install it tomorrow and post some pictures. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk |
What'd the note say? |
Sorry we suck |
Well my government sucks more... Hopefully I'll get it Monday... Or before Christmas |

The lighter aluminium knob can be better suited to an extended shifter. This is because there is a lot more leverage with the extension in place. You have to apply very little force to get the car in gear. However it also comes down to personal preference and I find that with shifting what may feel great to one person can be terrible to another. |

Looks like I will have mine Monday, great timing too, gonna be replacing my shifter cables as well (not looking forward to it). I have a cheap eBay aluminum ball knob that I'm gonna throw on it, it's nowhere near as pretty as the one stratified has but it's lighter than factory, I weighed it at about 170g. It's been sitting around for a couple months, I didn't like it much on the factory shifter cause it was way to close to the boot. I also just noticed something, am I the only 6 getting one of these extensions? |
Hoping this thing finally makes it in today... |
I see a few delivery notifications for these daily so I hope pretty much everyone will have theirs in the next day or 2. |

The knob Stratified sells looks like a nice fit for the shaft. Looks to be integrated very nicely. |
1 Attachment(s) finally got mine in today, me and my buddies were joking that it took us 5 hours to install a shift knob and extension (had to replace my cables) Anyway, quality is amazing, feels really weird but very nice at the same time being so high up. |

5 Attachment(s) Got some package with French crap on it in the mail today. No wonder USPS took so long. They had to hire a translator. Contents were wrapped up like a nice fruit from your local mega lo mart. You can see the before with my custom shift knob extender. ie spacer. I feel like a truck driver with the longer throw. I have it paired with the Damond SSP, but love the location of the knob. Will probably go full replacement at some point |
I will be uploading my photos soon |
1 Attachment(s) Sorry for the crappy pic, had to take a quick one on my way to work as it is the only time have had daylight while I'm the car for the past few days. Attachment 179111 Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk |
@Lex; you have any in stock also with a knob? |

@Lex; Bumping an old thread. Do you guys have any of these laying around unsold or intend on making another batch? The threads on mine are damaged beyond repair. Thank you! |
