Mine showed up last night minutes after my head hit the pillow, so will likely be loading it this afternoon for the 40 mile drive home :)
There might be a problem with the form letter sent though, it has my refund/upgrade offer dated for the 21st. :)
"If you enjoy this calibration want full custom tune to take your vehicle to the next level, remember that you can order a full Stratified Custom Tune and get a refund for the S-OTS+ map by 2014-03-21." picky picky but I read everything :) thanks for the quick turn-around!

That should be 2014-06-13. My apologies.

twincitySPEED6 03-26-2014 08:59 PM

just loaded my map to the ap going to load it tomorrow morning!

Lex 03-27-2014 11:09 AM

More maps going out today!

tbcota25 03-27-2014 12:28 PM

Yeah my car is deff running a lot better and not to mention the power :)

Yatta 03-27-2014 12:47 PM

Flashed yesterday before commute, going to wait out for it to settle before logging, ltft and stft look a little better though, will see how things are after logs.

Lex 03-27-2014 05:36 PM

All maps from those that sent in their forms have been sent out.

Mpettograsso 03-27-2014 06:45 PM

Purchased, delivered, flashed.
Drove the car about 20 miles.

I was running an OTS stage 1 tune. Worked on the car over winter.
Between this and my catted downpipe install, the car runs great! Smooth power, awesome response.

Doing a track day next weekend and looking forward to seeing how car responds.

Bedded in new brakes also. Hawk HPS PLUS. noisy as all hell, but just about puts you through the windshield.

Mattcinnc1 03-27-2014 10:01 PM

Just ordered a ots+ to do me over for now already plan to do custom tune after I get time for the dp install

Lex 03-30-2014 03:02 PM

More SOTS+ maps going out this afternoon. Hope everyone is enjoying theirs!

bigwavedave33 03-31-2014 10:28 AM

Totally didn't have to get it out over the weekend, but BIG THANKS. I will load later this week after a tire change.

Lex 04-02-2014 11:44 AM

Latest maps went out today. These go out every other day.

cciepunk 04-02-2014 01:37 PM

Talk about service, I put my order in yesterday afternoon 2:30PM EST. Today at 1pm, I get "The email". My form was already filled out and ready to go, so I replied back. Less than half an hour after receiving the email my new Stage2 map was is in my inbox. Dam, that was fast. Less than 24hours (not business hours) after order I have my new map.

Anyways, amazing service and fast delivery. Can't wait to load the new map, but I will have to wait until this weekend after my DP is installed.

darthxar 04-03-2014 10:06 AM

Well I am impressed enough with this OTS+ tune I am running, that I am definitely going in for the full tune. Just a couple maintenance items to take care of over the weekend, and then I plan on ordering a full tune. @Lex; how do I ensure that I get the discount/refund from the OTS+ purchase when purchasing the full tune?

Glad you like the SOTS+ maps - you will really like the full tune :). You write it in the order notes when you purchase the full tune. The discount will just be refunded to you via paypal once you purchase the full tune.

knocturnal 04-05-2014 03:21 PM

Just Ordered the OTS+ stage 2. Hope the turn around time is great.

Bought mine Friday at 9 am. Got the first email at 11 and sent them my form.

Had the maps by 3pm.

Hope it is that fast for you too.

Lex 04-05-2014 11:06 PM

The sots+ tunes are prepared in batches every other day. So some people will get a very quick response and others may take a day or so.

knocturnal 04-06-2014 03:44 AM

No worries. I am patient. I just submitted my form but its Sunday morning so i am not expecting anything till Monday or Tuesday.

darthxar 04-06-2014 05:14 PM

Guess this is a gateway drug. Just ordered a full tune :)

rbflurry 04-07-2014 07:10 AM

Is there any Dyno or vd numbers for these tunes ? Just curious.

bigwavedave33 04-07-2014 07:56 AM

Got mine last week, but was super busy all last week. With the original S-OTS Stage 2 93 oct and my combination of mods, car was pushing over 23psi which was not good. I wasn't driving it so much after I saw that. Loaded it up Friday before I went out for a spin in the evening. With the S-OTS+ option car is much smoother when it gets into the boost rather than light switchish. I need to do some logging, but might not happen this week. Thanks again for the OTS+ option. Look forward to getting a full tune in the future.

lx_diego 04-07-2014 03:45 PM

This is awesome. I bought mine Friday night and got a reply Saturday night. Hopefully will receive it today! Can't wait! :)

New maps are going to be sent out tomorrow guys - sorry but just not enough time in the day!

darthxar 04-07-2014 08:32 PM

Well the pulls I had have some weird peaking. The roads around here are still bad from winter, so probably surface issues. I will see if I can find a smoother spot tomorrow.

when I get the map, what should I be monitoring on my AP to make sure everything is fine?

There are some guidelines that come with the maps.

More calibrations went out today. Thanks everyone.

that's what I actually wasn't sure of. Just received my map and about to go flash. Thank you so much @Lex; ! :D

lx_diego 04-08-2014 02:21 PM

So even though I have my fuel pump internals upgraded its still a stage one map correct? until I get my downpipe?

SpencerC 04-08-2014 02:35 PM

Just received mine. Thanks a million @Lex; for working so hard and providing such a great option for the community. If you are lucky.... or maybe ... unlucky? Once it's installed and I'm rocking it I'll probably be sending many more people your way.

There were very few flow parts on the car with the exhaust and intercooler being stock. It is best to not push the turbo too hard until it's able to breathe a little better.

Here is a 3rd gear pull on my Stage 1 SOTS+ map. Keep in mind however that my car has enough flow mods to run stage 2, but I went stage 1 to conservatively feel out Stratified tuning strategies. I have just recently ordered my full tune. This is with CorkSport stage 2 intake, CPE TMIC, and a TP. It was also about 40 degrees F so I have a pretty low boost to get the load numbers. I am also impressed that I have not been seeing any over boost issues with the extra flow mods.

EDIT: put in a better log with 3rd and 4th.

Thanks for posting!

The graph looks a little funny because throttle position is low at the beginning of the log. You can manually set it to 100 when you actually go WOT in the log and resave for virtual dyno purposes.

Thanks for the tip. I'm pretty new to VD. Just did a new pull to send to you for full tune. I will try with that one.

Edited first post with a different log. Got much smoother results and more realistic numbers.

knocturnal 04-08-2014 07:01 PM

Got mine Today also. Just took the car out for a spin and it feel alot smoother. while doing a pull in third the it felt like the tires wanted to break loose the higher the rpm got. I am very happy with this new tune and you just might hear from me again about getting a proper tune after i get a TMIC or FMIC installed.

Thank you LEX!!

Thank you @Lex; :) I did some runs today and wow did they amaze me. I'm going to be posting some logs in a few. Be much appreciated if you gave them a quick check for me!

Cujo 04-09-2014 09:38 AM

Ordered mine last night. Thought I'd try this out... I mean it should be better than the self tune I have that after fires every other shift :wink1:.... Plus for $25 it really is an amazing deal.

rbflurry 04-09-2014 02:10 PM

@Lex;

Was going to send this as a PM but figured it might help someone else out.

I have a sure intake, Cobb TIP, Streetuint TMIC, Synapse BPV and AT internals.

Would the tune that you send out differ if I added a test pipe to the mix?

I'm not sure if I should buy now or when I install the Testpipe.

Thanks

Since you do have the flow of a TMIC I can send you a stg2 map which will then work well with your test pipe when you install it.

Had a look at one of the logs and it looks clean. Try a 4th gear run and adjust the throttle position in the log to be at 100 when you start the run. That will smooth the Vdyno plot out a lot.

SpencerC 04-09-2014 07:43 PM

I'll get back out and do more. I really shouldn't have been doing runs 15 minutes ago, to many people on the road. The logs look great! Everything looks within spec, no problems (one spot of knock for 1.4 in the third log, but it does't seem to be concerning) Otherwise super happy.

A bunch of e-mails just went out and the maps are following right now for those that submitted the forms.

Lex 04-10-2014 04:24 PM

Everyone, our S-OTS+ tunes currently have 10 more slots open. Once these sell out it will be 75 happy S-OTS+ customers and it will also mark the end of the introductory price period.

The prices are going to go up very mildly to cover some of the fees and development time involved. The price once these last 10 are sold will be $40 CAD.

This will ensure the sustainability, research, development and improvement of our tunes, products, and service.

The great news is that we will continue to honour a 100% refund of the S-OTS+ price if you purchase the full Stratified tune within 3 months.

Cujo 04-10-2014 05:40 PM

wow that was a fast turn around time!!! going to try it out now

Lex 04-10-2014 05:44 PM

All that maps have gone out for the customers that have sent in their forms!

Cujo 04-10-2014 07:50 PM

Well just got home from driving around town and I have to say that this was the best $25 I have ever spent on my car. It's so much smoother now. I still get a tiny pop when I give it some gas but it's nonexistent during normal driving. Changing gears feels a lot smoother now too. I plan on getting a custom tune from you guys here in the near future.

acuracy 04-12-2014 08:20 PM

@Lex; need some help. Purchased a S-OTS map and received it within minutes of submitting my form. Issue I have is that the serial number registered on the AP is different then the label on the back and the box. It's just one number different. Because of this I can't load the map. Should of checked the serial number on the AP to make sure it matched the label. Would like to experience the hype around your tunes. Can you help?

I hate that is my first post on this forum.

Just reply to the e-mail with the ACTUAL serial number of the AP. I will resend you the map. You are the second person to not have matching labels.

Welcome to the forums and don't be sorry! We'll get you sorted out to enjoy the map you purchased.

I have to agree. Before the power came on a little strong and felt light switchy where as now it is smooth and calmer. I need to run some logs and put it in V-dyno! Maybe tonight!

Lex is a Boss ! Once my tech sheet was submitted to Stratified, I received the S-OTS Plus map in about 10 minutes. Only had a chance to drive a few miles with the new map .... I was running a COBB stage 2 OTS map for the last 15K miles <--- what a piece ! - COBB map was really boggy with shitty throttle response on the low end (lucky i had minimal knock) Been busy with work and kids, not much time for tool'n. I have a stage 2 snow meth kit and Lex's guardian angel to install and was waiting for a full custom tune.... the S-OTS Plus option is a nice go between.

- Power (much more abundant) builds smooth and in a much more predictable pattern
- How smooth you may ask? Makes JBR's trilogy feel like hydraulic MM's. Went for the ride with wifey who is 8 months preggers and she didn't complain once. Actually she enjoyed the ride.
- Maybe it's me, but I feel like I'm shifting like the STIG
- ZERO knock !
- Pump pressures at low 1900's at WOT, still have to look at fuel trims and AFR's
- At low speeds (parking lot, traffic etc...) no more herky jerkyness when you let off the gas in 2nd.

My 3 month clock begins now...It's really is the best 25 bucks you can spend on your car. Big thanks to Lex and the Stratified team.

Hey @Lex; I have a quick question. I recently bought one of your ots maps and its great. Im buying a downpipe soon and don't have enough for a full tune. If I just get another ots map but with the downpipe in the mods list, I will get more of a performance benefit and be safer compared to just running the downpipe on the old map without the downpipe in the mods?

Do you currently have a stg2 sots+ or a stg1? If you have a stg1 there is a nice bump in performance going to stg2.

Lex 04-19-2014 03:53 PM

All maps have been sent out - hope everyone is having a good long weekend.

I am also considering adding a Stg3 with E85 support in the future to the S-OTS+ arsenal. What do you guys think? Again, it won't be a full custom tune, but it will be a tune that will take advantage of the high octane in E85.

mrtheandrew 04-19-2014 04:31 PM

I have lots of personal experience with WA 92 octane and it is fully compatible with the 93 octane calibration.

I use shell and texaco/chevron and they have been about the same.

Gas on JBLM is also good and they have e-85

Installed a catless DP and uploaded my S-OTS+ map after the install so I can't give a full before and after testimony of just the tune, but I will say that the power comes on smooth and she pulls all the way to redline. Definitely satisfied with the results. I've only been able to get a few logs in, but everything looks nice and stable.

Now I just need to figure out what mods I can swing with the old lady in the next 3 months so I can go for the customer tune!

Maybe my turbo will start smoking so I can tell the wife I need a BNR stage 3 to "fix" the issue :newangel:

I am enjoying my ots plus map. Stage 2. A lot better than the cobb ots.

I have the Stage 1 s-ots. Would it be safe to run the downpipe with this same map until im ready to full tune or should I get a stage 2 ots map meanwhile to be safe?

This is plenty safe. You won't make as much power on the Stg1 as on the Stg2 but if the custom tune is coming up soon it's safe.

Ive had my ots+ tune loaded for about a week now. I think the car feels a LOT smoother now. Nice even power delivery, no issues. Feels like a new car again. Cant wait to put the test pipe on (which the tune is still good for)!

Id love to get a full tune in the next couple months, but im not nearly ready for one mod-wise. Only have 6600 miles on the car. When the time comes though, I know who im sticking with!

evilmonkey187 04-30-2014 06:41 PM

@Lex <~~this never works for me.

I just got my car and it's got an old school Cobb/corksport ram air intake( filter sits in a fiberglass box where the tmic was), corksport(I think) fmic, tip, hks bov recirc,Cobb dp,test pipe, and corksport exhaust,apv3
If skimmed through the first 4 pages and it's mostly jbr intakes or Sri's this tune is for? Will it work for my grey bearded setup?

Yes, we have worked with this intake and have the correct calibration for it so no problem at all.

Glad you're enjoying it and looking forward to working with you soon. Fresh motor and car will have excellent results!

mzrtrooper 05-02-2014 06:44 AM

Had the Stg 2 OTS+ loaded for about 1200 miles now. Biggest differance was steady power delivery. If bury your foot it still goes beast mode on you but my wife says its much easier to drive now. Even after a custom tune it will be worth keeping this one as a daily driven tune. Since I drive for work and put 150-250 miles on the car a day.

Sent from... you know... that one app...

ORDERED!

monkey.bones.007 05-03-2014 06:06 PM

I ordered this as well. Not quite to a custom tune level so this should work nice.

tapacock, it's free with more gay

Lex 05-04-2014 12:47 PM

Thanks fellas!

I have been out of town since Wed but I'm back in the office tomorrow so maps will be moving quickly in the next day or 2.

Until cpe ships my tmic and i get my test pipe from rastarican im going to have to hold off on flashing the tune. Hopefully it isn't too long before i get them, but i wanted to be prepared for when my parts arrive. No worries on taking extra time for my tune.

tapatalk, it sucks for free.

Lex I'm going to go with a full tune after running the the s-ots (ordered) for a bit

I have some concerns with white smoke @ wot and #3 spark plug white n ashy after 50miles while the others are amber/normal 150-155 cold psi on all 4 cyl w/45k

I've searched for hours today concerning the white smoke at wot with minimal results.
Right now I'm guessing since pressure is high @wot my turbo seals are taking a shit.
Is there a way to tell if cyl 3 is getting less fuel using the ap? I'm assuming we can check injector cycles to see if the injector is failing. If the seal is leaking it won't show it right?
Is this something to be discussed when I get the full tune or should I diagnose beforehand?
Thanks in advance

You won't be able to tell via the AP if cylinder 3 is getting less fuel since the wideband O2 is past the turbo on the exhaust.

White smoke is not indicative of a failing injector. It is either condensation, some oil, or coolant. The first is harmless. The second will show up as oil consumption, oil in the intake, etc. The latter will show up as a drop in coolant level.

If you are concerned for the health of the motor, I suggest a leakdown tests.

Post up picture of the plugs. Ash on the plugs indicate oil consumption but it has to be pretty heavy.

Ok that's what I figured with the injector.
I'm probably being paranoid since getting the car about a month ago (doing the vvt, chain, chasing misfire codes and upgrading the fp internals)
Yesterday was the first time I did a wot (because of the above and just general operational observation)
I'll do a couple of wot runs today and check oil and coolant....

The plugs start@ cyl 1 left to right. Just a little whiter than the rest so As a preemptive I wanted to investigate a lean condition or possibly an oil issue from cyl 3
Thanks Lex

BTW I just submitted my form

Yatta 05-05-2014 09:42 AM

Of course after doing this (and happily I might add) I go and pick up a cp-e down pipe at a steal (catted). ho hum.

Plugs look fine in that picture

Maps for all the forms submitted just went out!

Also if you guys are looking for more power and want an S-OTS+ E85 tune, we just released these as well.

Stratified MazdaSpeed / Mazda MPS S-OTS+ E85 Tune

If we got an ots+ tune do we get a discount on an e85 ots+ if we wanted to add it like you do with the full tunes?

tapatalk, it sucks for free.

Unfortunately the discounts just apply when going from SOTS+ to a full tune.

Hey Lex, how well do the rubber seals and fuel seals hold up with the added e85?
