Honestly, I'm not sure if I have a Stage1 or Stage2 Flash Tune. I don't think it applies here since these are not Cobb OTS tunes. The Flash Tune is still tailored to match my mods so I really don't think there are stages. For example, based on the mods in my sig, I should be running a Cobb Stage1 OTS map, that if I remember correctly, is limited to 17 max PSI? I'm hitting a little past 19 PSI consistently when I go WOT with my Stratified Flash Tune in 4th gear.

It would have been specified on the tune they sent you. I dont think they would do a "stage 2" for you without internals and some upgraded flow mods.

Mine reads:

Stratified Flash Tune stg2 93 V2.00

sent from the Tardis

You are absolutely correct. I just checked the name of the tune on my Accessport and it was named:
Stratified Flash Tune Stg2 93 V2.10

So I am already running a stage 2 tune, cool. Now I wonder how much more gains I can get on an updated Flash Tune, once I install the CS racepipe.

Happy to announce that we have V3.0 flash tunes now available on our site. I wanted to increase refinement of the tunes and move beyond Stage2. I also wanted to incorporate the latest features COBB released through the tuner software. So we now have a Stage3 tune to take further advantage of fully bolted cars. The E85 flash tune is updated as well. Here are the changes:

- Stage 3 Flash Tunes allow for further power increase over Stage 2 for both Flash and E85 flash tunes if you have supporting modifications.
- Additional refinements for bigger than stock intakes to maximize performance
- Higher altitude tuning changes to minimize power loss due to elevation changes
- Option to fix post shift stutter on cars that experience this (MazdaSpeed6)
- Closed loop fueling extended to higher engine loads to ensure AFRs are always on target

New customers - get your flash tunes here:

Pump Gas: Stratified MazdaSpeed / Mazda MPS Flash Tune [Stratified Mazda Flash Tune] - $50.00USD : Stratified Automotive Controls

E85: Stratified MazdaSpeed / Mazda MPS E85 Flash Tune [Stratified Mazda E85 Flash Tune] - $50.00USD : Stratified Automotive Controls

If you already have a flash tune, the upgrade can be purchased here:

MazdaSpeed/MPS Flash Tune Upgrade [MazdaSpeed/MPS FlashTune Upgrade] - $25.00USD : Stratified Automotive Controls

I had the hypertech tune on my car and then loaded the stage 1 the car feels slower in 1 and 2 gears.but it could be just me. Could it be the 0 to 60 is removed.

Awesome revision @Lex; I can definitely tell a night and day difference on the E85 Flash upgrade versus the previous version! Pulls a lot cleaner and harder from 4000rpm and up! Thanks for the continued support of the MS3 platform.

I recently got my Stage 3 93 octane revision and I can defiantly tell a difference. Easily worth the $25.

@Lex; On your website you use the terms "version" and "stage" and I was just wondering if those two are the same or are they exclusive of each other. Can I upgrade to the newest (3rd) version of the stage 2 tune? Or would I just be upgrading to the 3rd version(stage 3) if I choose to upgrade.

Also, I don't have an upgraded TMIC or meth, but do plan on installing a 3inch catless long downpipe to replace the first cat and the test pipe I have currently. Would my mods listed below (+the downpipe -the test pipe) warrant the upgrade to stage 3 even though I don't have an upgraded TMIC or meth?

Attached is a current vdyno of where I am powerwise along with associated datalogs.

Thanks!

The versions and stages are independent of each other. A stage is defined by your modifications and a version identifies the version of the flash tune you have which applies to all stages because the improvements are applied to all the flash tunes.

With a stg3 tune being on the aggressive side, I recommend an intercooler. If you'd like to have it regardless you can go ahead but I also recommend getting the log review especially if your local fuel is not the best. With E85 you're definitely better off and seeing the Vdyno you posted an update to your tune will result in gains.

Thanks, I'll give some thought to this and decide what's best.

I just wanted to pass along a big thank you to everyone involved, thank you for giving me my car back to what it use to be! I've had my ms6 since day one and then mazda decided to change the tune of the car I was really disappointed in the performance, now with your tune and my rebuild of this car I am happy to report to anyone, that you guys hit it out of the park. I'm monitoring everything and so far to my eyes the logs look great, I will get you guys to take a look when I get to the next point.

Anyway Job well done, many thanks for the support.
Robert.

Very happy you're enjoying the tune! These tunes have years and years of experience with driveability and safe performance rolled into them so I am happy to see people enjoy them.
