Stratified/PERM 298whp/341wtq 4 Attachment(s) I tagged along with the rest of the NATOR NY crew to see kritz and nextgenerationx1's E85 dyno tuning day to see what they could do. nextgenerationx1 decided not to dyno due to a few things so I was able to get on. YAY!! @Lex had just finished up 2 maps with me so I was excited to see what the car could do. The first map I ran was a street tune (pulls 1 and 2) and second map was a stock boost map (need this for my autox/time trial classes :drive:). We forgot to set up the fans for the first map so the BAT's were pretty high (hence the drastically lower second pull numbers). We set up the fan for the 3rd run. Street tune - 298.73whp/341.54wtq Race tune - 289.24whp/321.91wtq It would have been nice to see 300whp for the street tune but I can't complain because the car feels fucking great. I couldn't be happier, the tunes are preforming exactly as they should without a hiccup. I still can't believe the amount of power that can be had with only making changes fuel and timing. Lex did a great job to give me well performing and safe maps. :headbang: |
Nice man. Thats with no DP? |
No DP, just the mods in my sig. |
Thanks for posting Jon! It has been a pleasure working with you and I am very happy we were able to squeeze 290whp and 320wtq from 14psi on the stock K04! This will kick some butt on the circuit in 2012! |
nice jon!! that power level at that low level of boost is sick, awesome job Lex |
Very impressive numbers considering no DP and close to stock boost levels. |
Nice numbers, do i need to add "fuk dp" in my title too!!! Too late for me but to get to 300 apparently you dont need one. Edit: I might be wetarded and missing it, but is this on corn or str8 93??? |
93 no corn. |
Straight 93. East coast fuel FTMFW |
Now imagine the numbers with the love juice. ~ Sent from my Galaxy Nexus running Cm9~ |
If there was a closer station (closest is 20 miles from me) and I didn't drive 100 miles a day I would consider it |
Sweet! Great numbers and damn the stock boost numbers are very impressive. I can definately attest to @Lex's tuning prowess. He is very nice to talk to, very very fast to respond and turn maps out. Not to mention how incredibly thorough he is with map revisions. I'm mid-tune with him right now and cannot begin to beleive everytime he sends me a new map he somehow finds more power, with no knock and smooth as buttah. It's like a bunch of little x-mas' in rapid succession. Worth at least 2x what he asks for a tune. |
Well fuck. Guess I need to sign up for a Lex map. |
I can attest for him too! He did my Perm tune and car pulls like a muthafucka |
You're my hero. |

Lol. |
Nice! Man, I really need to get off my ass and get my base logs sent to Lex... Now that I have my test pipe in I'm where I wanted to be modification-wise before starting, and I have pretty much the same mods as the OP so I guess I have a little bit of an idea of what to expect. Awesome! :fing02: |
Lex, why do I feel like our paths have crossed before? On a certain platform that I see all over that site. Like, say, the KL platform. You on PT, bro? |

It might just be me, but why is your "street" tune 10whp more than your "race" tune |

Yeah, Lex has my MS6 pulling like a freakin train right now at 16-17 PSI. He's working his ass off to fix some KR problems, and in a week, we've gone through 6 maps already! |
You really must have a lot of time to kill |

I am really tight on time this week, actually. I'm on a rotating shift schedule. Started at 4 am today. 330 am tomorrow. 130 am thurs and just after midnight friday. SUCKS. But I'm flashing maps as quick as Lex sends them. LOL. |
Pretty sure he is referring to this. Quote:

that would be it |
very nice numbers! |
nice numbers |
Not sure if I missed it on your sig, but you don't have a tmic/fmic upgrade? Would 300+whp have been possible with an intercooler upgrade? |

Don't know how much cooler you're going to get in the midst of winter. What were BAT's? |
Quote:
|
Wow, that's high. Higher than I'd want them to be in the dead of summer at the track. |

Also on the 3rd run my BAT's were around 85° because we hooked up the IC fan. |
I really hope that when I get my bigger TMIC that it'll be efficient enough to handle the warmer days. Granted, we don't get a lot of them. 125 is OK. |

You certainly do a lot of advertising. |
Eh, all the stickers on the left sides are the tracks I race at and the ones on the right are the nator ny logo and my racing teams logo. Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk |
such a huge difference in the bats after you hooked up kritz's intercooler cooler |

Yeah I think I need a tune lol |

Damn @Lex, good job with the OP's tune! I haven't cracked 300WHP yet, WHILE running SRI+TMIC+DP+50/50 meth!... I might have to have you look at my map for some pointers once I get around to running 100% meth! |
Great to see what you can get with just sri tp and hpfp :3 |
Sorry for bumping this older thread, but i couldnt help but notice the logs Fisch had posted. @Lex Sir, I noticed that he was running 20 psi on just a TIP+SRI+FP internals for the street tune. Does that have any sort of negative effect on the car running that much boost for the mods he has ? Reason i ask is he and i have the same damn mods, and im making similar power levels, i just didnt know you could run that much boost on such a light modification list. Reason im asking is purely for learning on my part, as i know your a monster in this field. Could you explain a bit on this to me ? |

Also remember that a street tune differs from a road course tune since they have different requirements - I would be running less boost if the car is driven at WOT consistently. |
