I am not a big fan of turbosmart - I prefer the Forge V1. That being said there are lots of valves out there from cheap to expensive. If it's a push type and adjustable you will be able to get it to work nicely with the GA. The question is - which one do you like in terms of sound?

I had a forge V1 and if was "fun" in terms of sound but it got old fast.

I had a turbosmart and liked the sound of it. Curious as to why your not a fan.

Really i would just like to mess with an adjustable one to see if its any better than the way my stocker responds. If i couldn't tell a difference then i would just stick with the stock piece and use that money towards something that makes a difference.

An aftermarket one will respond better since they are single chamber versus the oem. I don't like the TS build quality as it seems to leak around fittings etc. However the TS valve with the softer spring responded really well with the GA and sounded better than the Forge. The TS hard spring is way too stiff and will surge all the time so the TS is not really adjustable in that sense.

Try someone local to lend you a valve since they are so easy to swap.

Good idea. I'll try to bum my buddy's GFB.
