By request here is a short 3rd-4th on ramp. Used my PnS cause it has better audio than GroPro2, so it's shakey but you can hear the car better.


Don't worry I've got the fuel rail secured down really well with duct tape until the bracket gets here.

28 Sep UPPDATE:

Video spam, oil change.

Took a log this morning as I was leaving work. Not really for Vdyno purposes cause it was on a gradual curve, but just for tuning. Anyways it was cool out this morning low 60s so the car was pulling stupid hard. My 4th gear pulls look like 3rd gear pulls now haha. Also 2nd gear was shredding tires.


Also swapped over to Mobil 1 15w50. Checked the plugs, which had opened up a tad, and regapped them to .023. They looked great still.

Planning on going to a meet tonight and surprising some fookers. I will try and get as much footage as possible. Cross your fingers nothing breaks lol. I'm going to refrain from doing digs until after I hit the dyno, would suck to blow up an axle a couple days before I'm gonna go dyno.

I forgot where I saw them but the stronger axles for this car = big money. But it looks like you don't care about that, being all boss and all.

Dss 500 hp axles are 800 1000 hp axles are 1200 that's for the pair

29 Sep UPDATE:

Went out to the meet and races but it was broken up pretty quick. Couple things I learned. I need some fucking practice with this new setup, in the shifting dept. I also probably need to adjust the shifter a bit because FFS is a no go in any gear. So shifting with a slight delay results in having to re-build boost. The cops came out and broke it up really fast so I didn't get to do a whole lot.

I got the first race of the night against @Speed3man; (GTX3076/built). Not gonna lie here, I need practice and this was an attempt at FFS3rd and then FFS4th with neither would go in. Either way it was a fun race and Speed3man's car is stout


And a little 1-4th action.


Gotta get my practice in for the track, can't be noobin' it up. This new setup is wild to handle coming from just a bolted/stock turbo straight to this.

The tuning will continue and I will keep rolling in the vids as I get them. Called up MKC Performance and they will call me back to let me know when they have a spot for me on the dyno next week.

Took a log this morning as I was leaving work. Not really for Vdyno purposes cause it was on a gradual curve, but just for tuning. Anyways it was cool out this morning low 60s so the car was pulling stupid hard. My 4th gear pulls look like 3rd gear pulls now haha. Also 2nd gear was shredding tires.

Also swapped over to Mobil 1 15w50. Checked the plugs, which had opened up a tad, and regapped them to .023. They looked great still.

Planning on going to a meet tonight and surprising some fookers. I will try and get as much footage as possible. Cross your fingers nothing breaks lol. I'm going to refrain from doing digs until after I hit the dyno, would suck to blow up an axle a couple days before I'm gonna go dyno.

29 Sep UPDATE 2:

Got up this morning to go do some logs and get some more vids. It's beautiful outside right now, perfect 72 degrees. I went to my normal logging road and decided to do a few back to back pulls in opposite directions on the same stretch of road for consistency. The first log is the red graph, BATs were nice and low. The 2nd and 3rd were going in the other direction and pretty much one right after the other.



This video is the 3rd log. You'll notice it's the opposite direction on the same road as my other log vids. The wind noise is awful. I guess I should really get a GoPro3, are they any better at killing off some of that wind noise, or do I need to get a mic attachment?



I guess eventually I should swap out the stock TB for the 75mm, and also think about getting an exhaust larger than 2.5" lol

29 Sep UPDATE 3:

GoPro3 Black, moar maps!


So I went out and bought a GoPro3 Black, because fuck the stupid GoPro2. Well worth the money, especially with the phone app. Got a new map revision with some more boost, but I only have an 18lb spring in the WG so capped out at 38psi.





Also, the problem I was having with FFS last night was me inadvertantly setting FFS limit the same as the rev limit, like an idiot. Back it down to 5500 and FFS works again, hooray!
I didn't FFS 1-2 because I'm nervous about exploding the tranny and everything behind it, nor did I launch it. but FFS 2-3 and 3-4 just fine. Needle moves.


And a little 3-4 action outside the car.


Tomorrow I'll install the TB to see if we can pick up some power there without having to change the WG spring and redo all the damn WG tables. And possibly see if the shop that did my DP would fab a 3" section of exhaust to replace hte 2.5" midsection on the magnaflows. I'm sure at this point it's probably a massive restriction lol

The speedo vids give it a lot more justice. Haha. Car fuckin moves man. If you have the fuel, which I assume you do, I would just run it a touch richer, as you really won't sacrifice any power.

Yeah we have to get more fuel from the aux rail. It's only at 60% IDC. The original goal was 600, but ehh why not just keep going lol.

LOL yeah that could be an option. I have to swap the spring out to get more. At 100% WGDC on this 18psi spring. Considering I'm trying to get to the dyno in a few days there are other options that would be less of a hassle than redoing the WGDC tables again. I still have the 75mm TB to install which should net me a bit of power, and there's the simple solution of either getting a larger exhaust midsection or just open dump. I'm not trying to see how much power it can max out at, cause there's the limit of the rods to consider.

Meh, the biggest stress for rods is tension, and that comes with piston speed/mass. Tom Molnar (owner of Molnar Tech, former owner of K1, co-founder of Oliver) has said on more than one occasion that horsepower ratings for rods are meaningless.

Which is why we are going above the rated strength (hp wise) but there is only so far I'm willing to go above that.

just an fyi, the back cover of the go pro thats vented is designed for speeds less then 100mph and the one thats sealed is for 100+ mph to prevent windnoise
