Time for an update:

My car blew up last week so my plans got rushed ahead a little bit. I was actually talking to Pablo earlier in the week about getting my spare block in to be built and swap my motor out. I was planning to sell my working stock motor because ive never had an issue with it, but its much better that it blew in my car than to some poor soul who swaps in the motor and then blam! no more engine.

Got a new mount from Mark at street unit:




I don't have a pic of these because they went straight into the block, but I will be using Molnar Technology Connecting Rods. They look pretty good to me and i decided to try them out (Photo stolen from phate without permission ) :




Finally got to porting and polishing that head

Intake:

Also Ported and painted my intake manifold

I welded shut the ports for the VCTS and also the EGR...yes its and ugly weld, but you can suck it

New Oil Pan baffle and bsd to help with the sloshing:




Some help with monitoring (Boost, EGT, Fuel Pressure)





Finally a catch can:




Meth has a new safer home, all lines will be stainless steel braided and an fittings




DCR VVT takes forever:




Turbo gets cold at night so it needs a blanky:




Valve cover has been pained and looks all pretty:

well, i baked some stuff today...cured all my painted parts. I also burned the fuck out of my thumb and its bubbling up a bit

The manifold is still in the oven and my whole house smells like paint...im also lightheaded

Careful with those glowshift gauges though, me and a good friend who ran them both had problems with ours after about 10 months.

Got some more goodies in the mail today.

got a second hand turbine housing .82ar. its 4 bolt to v-band which was not my first choice, but i cant complain too much because i really needed this piece






All painted (well kinda painted, i ran out midway and said fuck it)




And the fun part:




thats 50 feet of fiberglass header wrap. This manifold was an absolute BITCH to wrap because all of the runners are pretty much right against each other. The collector was impossible and I ended up having to wrap the whole thing up, which is not ideal, but gets the job done.

And now cleaned up and ready to roll!!!










I am now super itchy which brings me back to last year when me and Vin fishin53 did my turbo swap with my wrapped downpipe
