Just got my AP and AFR=14.81 at all times 1 Attachment(s) My ap logs my AFR ration at about 14.81 at all times of driving even at WOT. Being the idiot I am I have been driving with the engine light on for the last year thinking it was only my catless downpipe causing the light to be on. When using the AP I found out that the engine code is p2237 which after research means a bad o2 sensor. I think I have been driving around with a bad o2 sensor and AFR at 14.81 for a long time. The following are my quesitons. Would a bad o2 sensor effect other values on the log? Why did driving with those AFR not kill my car? (I have been reading that 14.81 is far too high at WOT) Thanks for your time! Mods:MSCai, ets tmic, tbe, bov, cobb turbo inlet, fuelpump internals, cobb ap. attached is a log. |
Your primary o2 needs to be replaced |
It didn't kill your car because of a couple reasons. In OL your car only relies off of the maf sensor reading. Takes the amount of incoming air and calculates how much fuel should be injected. Now while in CL your ecu would at many times be trying to hit richer targets and would be dumping fuel trying to get there. So you should have been getting pretty poor fuel economy. |
Did you ever replace your primary O2 sensor? I'm having a similar problem with my 2008 MS3. 14.8 when I'm on the throttle. 29.5 at idle. No LTFT or STFT. |
I did replace my primary O2 sensor and it now works properly. When mine was broke it stayed at 14.8 all the time, so I do not know if you have the same problem since yours shows 29.5 at idle and 14.8 on throttle. |
