LTFT is not Mazda specific. It means long term fuel trim, and can be monitored with the AP (accessport).

Posting a log is highly recommended if you want to get valuable feedback. In this case, I'd do a WOT log from 2500-6500 RPM in 3rd or 4th gear and a short 60 second log of normal stop and go driving.

I am self-tuned but that doesn't mean I know what I'm doing. I'll gladly help however I can but there are many people more knowledgeable than myself that can help too if you post the logs. I see that you donated, good job, you'll get the help you need if you give us what we need to help you.

hey guys it rained over here in ct but today still a little wet i got a few logs in please note this is all new to me let me know if these logs are good enough to read for ya datalog 12 is my log at a stand still datalog20 is a 1st an 2nd gear pull an datalog 21 is a 3rd and 4th gear (as much of 4th as i could have gone due to traffic) but i hope this is enough an note i loaded up to tune to do these logs today but quickly uninstalled it when i got home

So I read your op and looked at the logs you just posted and don't see anything glaringly wrong with them (other than being way to goddamn long). I am on my phone looking at them though so I might have missed something. I would just do a maf calibration. Not quite sure why you are installing a map, going wot/taking logs, and then uninstalling the map. Kind of makes it hard to really get anywhere with your tune doing that. Also, where in ct are you? Yup, running rich at idle. MAF cal recommended. There are plenty of guides that can be uncovered with a quick search.

it's not running too rich at idle. 14.6 is the richest i saw. i think you just need a maf cal. the WOT log looks like standard OTS

What Harvey said is correct. You are not "technically" running rich at idle. The ECU is just seeing that it is correcting by pulling ~10% of fuel out of injection event. This triggers the ECU to throw a code for running too rich at idle because technically in a stock configuration, it would not pull out 10% fuel unless there was some type of leak. OP, make sure you have absolutely no leaks just to be safe. You said that the code will not come on if you return to stock mode tune, therefore this probably means that the OTS MAF calibration is off. Do a MAF Cal. |

First let me ask this. When you say you are uninstalling the map, please dont tell me you are using the uninstall option on the AP. There is no need to uninstall and reinstall the AP all the time, and i would be that is asking for trouble. To go back to a stock tune, just flash the stage 0 map

| Not Ranked : 0 score CDMs3, If you are having trouble understanding the very basic of tuning (maff cal) I would leave that car alone before u go zoomzoombooom. IMHO, get a real TUNER!!! But if you really want to learn, u better get on the mazdaspeedforum ebooks of knowledge, trust me there's plenty in here.

Well I'm just very cautious I watched the vids I know how to access it all but only thing I'm afraid of is ....you said it my "zoom-zoom going boom-boom" lol ESP when I have no knowledge of tuning I'd just feel alot more comfortable with someone who knows more than I... Willing to give you a hand. Re-flash the OTS map that you been running. Start fresh. After 50 miles send me a maf cal log (see my video if you don't know how to perform the log). I'll make the adjustment for you and send it back to you so that you can run the stage 1 OTS map and not get these codes anymore. I'm a nice guy. | |
