Versatune Help

So i have been reading alot online and most tuning guides are for Accessport...

Are there any good tuning guides for Versatuner?

Search on the versatune website for a thread called "map editing" it's long, but every question is answered in there. It was my first attempt at tuning and I just kept badgering steve with questions.

LOL have been reading that as well saw your username there alot.

When reading abilor tuning guide it all refers to the AP, would be nice if there was a VT tutorial as well.

Alot of the table names are close enough to figure out. It took me a bit to get comfortable with the names, now I dont even notice.

Closed Loop exit Delay A?
Closed Loop Max Load D?
Fuel OL commanded EQ base?
Fuel commanded EQ max enrichment allowed?
WG duty Cycles?

I've always tried to understand what is what but noone seems to know much about VT. Ive tried this and my local forum.

Have tuned many VT cars and the tables are all there. The table descriptions are also good at the top of the screen so if you're comfortable with tuning overall it won't be an issue.

Thanks for your reply Lex. Wish someone created a guide for Abilor Tuning with the VT names in would help alot.



AP ---Fuel OL commanded EQ base? as a value of "14.60" across Load 0.25 and RPM 500 - 5000

VT --- Open Loop Part Throttle AFR Target Normal - - has a value of "1" across Load 0.25 and RPM 500 - 5000

Vt is in lambda, ap is in afr
14.68 = 1 lambda

Is the versa tuner just as good as the cobb? Is one better than the other?

You should on be using Versa Tuner if you live where the AP isnt available.

Yes you can, but its ECU specific. Example, a US ECU is different than a UK ECU.

They're pretty much the same.

The biggest difference is that the ap comes with a handheld device whereas vt must have the laptop plugged in to log. Furthermore gen2 support is only on the cobb so far.
