Where can I go to get my Speed3 tuned?

Just hoping to find a recommended shop where I can trust someone to do a good job. Having a tough time finding one in this area.

Any suggestions?

Seattle area looking for a place within 50ish miles, thanks.

Perm

bigriver 03-23-2012 12:13 PM

Ya dont use a shop. E-tune from one of the guys here.

AZSPEED3 03-23-2012 12:13 PM

Your best option is a e-tune by one of the many good tuners on this forum.

jacobwilder5 03-23-2012 12:14 PM

I'm new to this. E-tune? How do I go about it?

Pseud0logik 03-23-2012 12:16 PM

Since you are new you should be reading, not asking questions. All of your questions have already been answered on these boards.

zpele 03-23-2012 12:18 PM

Ill help tune you for free if you let me stick my dick in your ear.

Pseud0logik 03-23-2012 12:23 PM

How could you offer to do such a thing without at least seeing pictures of the ear first? DO YOU HAVE NO STANDARDS?

breakfstincluded 03-23-2012 12:31 PM

hondata!

OP- get this before he wants happy ending too.

SpeedSixxx 03-23-2012 03:02 PM

check out John at PTP.....

Lex 03-23-2012 03:07 PM

I am more or less local to you (Vancouver, BC) but like it was mentioned no need to get this done at a shop - especially since most shops don't deal with speeds. See my site for E-tune details:

Custom Tuning Services : Stratified Automotive Controls

triplejumper18 03-23-2012 03:28 PM

Either get E-tuned by Lex or PERM or drive to Portland and get dyno tuned by Tim or Lance at Cobb Tuning Surgeline. Obviously Cobb Tuning Surgeline isn't just a "shop" for the Mazdaspeeds.

He's offering them for $99. Besides that there are a lot of people around here to help you tune your car safely for free.

yeah... that's the shop I was trying to think of!

I heard great things about Tork motorsports.

Give em a try if you are still looking.

I wouldn't just jump at the first dude that offers you an e-tune...

it's like having a contractor do work on your property, you have to get a few estimates first and feel the dude out... see if you trust the tuner and like what he has to say.

good luck and let us know what you chose..

agreed but I doubt there are that many dudes on here that know how to tune a speed better then that guy... safely and reliably.

either way, good luck with the OP...

hope you get a nice tune and are happy with the result!

it's working out nicely! ran 2 tunes and just flashed the 3rd one. He said my MAF is a little messed up, he told me this third tune should feel the best among the past 2. I will probably have him put a before after dyno graph and post it up. Here's the mod list:

SURE SRI+TIH
UR test pipe
jbrmm 88
Denso itv22
Cobb AP

Thanks pcvang for the info on Tork Motorsports! I'll be checking those guys out soon. I heard they have a 700whp Speed3 they are currently working on :scared1:....

I really wanted a physical shop where I can meet and work with the guys who are tuning my car. Nothing against the e-tuners just my personal preference.

Thanks for all the help!
