Default Custom fiberglass 12" sub box - check it out

I just completed a fiberglass sub box for my 08 MS3 and wanted to see what everyone thought. The sub is flush mounted to give the box a cleaner look. The box will be positioned in the trunk against the back of the seat...on the passenger side. I wanted to post a pic of the box in the car but by the time I finished putting the carpet on it got dark outside. I'll take a few tomorrow and post them. This is just a hobbie I like to do every now and then. I did the same thing in my RX8 (sold for the MS3), 545 BMW and soon in my RX7.

The one I made for my 05 RX8 GT sounded really good. The guy who bought my 8 loved it. He liked it so much he had me make one for his 04 RX8 just before he totalled it....I recently sold him my 8 to buy the MS3. I have yet to test this one out cause I'm not done wiring up my MTX amp.

I can make any size box. It usually takes me 2-3 days to make due to the drying time. It took a gal and a half of fiberglass resin and 3 packs of fiberglass mat to make this box......all the materials cost about $80.

Fiberglass resin
Fiberglass mat
Paint brushes
Latex gloves
12 - 16oz plastic cups
Carpet
PDF board

Damn, I hate when posts catch me off guard. I forgot I still need a processor and gotta figure out where I wanna put the sub for my amp. One other thing...I thought in hatches and SUVs, you want the sub firing up...or does that not matter?

I don't feel it matters. I started to mount the sub at an angle facing upward but realized it would only make the rear hatch cover vibrate/rattle when the bass hits...I can't stand when ppl ride around and there car sounds like it's falling apart with every beat.

Sorry it took me a few days to post updated pics but I've been busy. For some reason they look clearer on my camera than they do here but anyway.....
