| pwerslave,ms3ica,s3type2 | found this article.. "In a dyno test things to watch are correction factors applied for altitude, barometric pressure and temperature. These factors are NOT the same for atmo and turbo engines. Using atmo factors inflates the true, corrected HP figures on a turbo engine. In fact, look at the correction factors applied on your dyno sheets and see if they make sense. Many shady dyno operators simply enter a phantom correction factor to make the customer happy. This is a case where the dyno sheet DOES lie. Be aware that SAE correction factors do not apply to turbocharged engines! If your dyno sheet lists SAE corrected HP, ignore it as it is incorrect. You are better off getting an idea of where you stand by looking at observed hp with a turbo engine."

| TOP DOG | it seems like a lot of east coast dyno operators will try to slide by using Smoothing 7 to bullshit numbers. See it all the time in the domestic forums and only the guys who arent aware of peoples tricks, fall for it. Ive also seen them fudge correcting factors as well. When you see a dyno of a 760hp mustang on a suspicious dyno chart... and the car only runs mid 11's on slicks, you know its bullshit.
