| First of all big thanks to tim bailey at surgeline tuning! Arrived at 10 in the morning and had the cobb cbe installed. at idle and low rpms it actually seems about the same as stock! There is 1 minor complaint. I have H&R springs and when i am on a incline and i start from a stop, my exhaust hits on my subframe for a brief second. deffinatly not cool on cobbs part. They had more then enough clearance to put it so close to the subframe. We just tried moving the exhaust hanger flange higher up in the exhaust hanger.Tim deffinatly worked his magic. I asked if he could do a dyno run 103v J stage 2+ fmic Vs. the custom tune. I believe he got halfway through the OTS map run and shut it down because he did not see what he liked. it deffinatlly deemed it not safe as he would want it. He made a 16,18,and 19 psi map for me. I NEED a catch can!!! somebody please help me!! It may take me a few days to get dyno graphs. But i do have pictures and video's of the event. My 18 and 19 psi #'s were around 305whp and 325lbs tq. My consertative map until i get a catch can is 285whp and 300lbs tq 16 psi. 0 knock!! Thanks for PDXIMPORTRACER for coming out and hanging out at the dyno day! nice to meet ya man. Hopefully i can come down very soon! dyno graphs will be up very shortly!cobb tbe clip will be posted sometime tomorrow! Now the mayhem starts.. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by MazdaspeedGT08; 11-27-2008 at 10:04 AM. | ||||||||

| Im glad to see it turned out to be a good day for you. Im thinking that by now, everything I told you, you found to be true, yes? :-p From the Cobb exhaust, to the 103 map, to Tim being flexible, ect. What ended up happening with the BPV? Stock fuel pump still, right? Any sort of cut or sputter in the higher gears? Sounds like your car is dialed (minus the catch can)! Your conservative tune is much like my dailey 18psi tune, these cars are all so different from one another, its crazy. Arent you glad I talked you into it? Congrats bro.

| TOP DOG | Nice to see Tim dialing these in! Thats 31X - 32X numbers on a dynojet for comparison.

| Speed6 Enthusiast | yeah i dont think a catch can is a neccesity for more power. its a nice to have but its not going to hold you back not having one. |

| Great numbers Tim also recommended a catch can for me. He stated that it was precaution not a power mod, to keep the motor happy “ my words not his” | ||||||||

| right. as a precaution. in which if u r having fun with my 18 and 19 psi and having extreme oil blowby, which in turn can decrease octane values. then in which having a chance to hit knock. so he advised me to get the occ THEN have me run my 18 and 19 tunes Thanks mazdarati u hit some great #'s as well. my car was consistent pretty much with between 285-310whp and 300-325lbs tq on all tunes | ||||||||
