Default Preliminary impressions of Piasini

Well, after a whole bunch of useless revisions, I decided to uninstall the AccessPORT and try something else. For about 3 weeks I ran my Cobb intake and FMIC around without any tune. Shit felt a lot better than with the Cobb maps and my AFR, boost, knock, etc... all looked good. This past Saturday I got my car dynoed and it put down 273whp and 300ft/lbs torque. I wanted to see a bit more, so I talked to Tim (NYPest) and had him read my ECU. On Monday he flashed the car for me and the car felt very nice. Had a bit more low-end, mid-range felt the same, and the high RPMs were insane. The car pulls like crazy from about 5500rpm on. I got the car back on the dyno tonight and found out that I got a shot fuel pump... Pressure plummets to around 700psi at 4700rpm, which was represented on my dyno run by a fuckin huge dip in hp & tq. The car eventually rebuilds pressure around 5500 and by 6300rpm I'm seeing around 75whp more than my baseline. Check the dyno, red lines are flashed run, blue are un-tuned. Conditions were almost identical and the runs were done 3 days apart. I also have the accompanying dashhawk log of the run, as well as a log I did a few minutes ago after installing Tim's spare OEM fuel pump (I guess his was out of the TSB vin range). Images taken from my post over on m3f (yes, I need hosting!)

Looks to me like that flash just keeps the throttle plate open. It's a good gain.

100% incorrect and proven so !!!!

What also HAS been proven is that having the open throttle plate does not infact make a near as many gains AKA COBB AKA CPE

Thanks, but just to elaborate a bit on what changed (besides throttle):
I logged AFR on my baseline dyno run, which hovered around 10.3-10.5 from 4-5k and then mid-to-low 9s from 5k on (saw 9.28 around 5900rpm and it didn't vary much from that). With the flash I'm seeing 11s in the same 4-5k range and then the lowest it dips is 10.6 near redline. I believe we'll be getting an even leaner map sometime soon, so there might be more gains.

Overall, the car runs great now with the tune and fuel pump. I can't wait to get my manifold and dp installed.
